While visiting Atlanta recently a friend and I went into the mall to shop for a gift. It seemed that some of the more high end stores have vacated this mall and lesser known stores have now come into the mall. Even the food court...More

Visited here one evening whislt doing some tourist shopping. We had recently visited Cumberland Mall and to be honest, they are very similar to each other in the variety of shops but Perimeter is a bit larger with a larger range of restaurants connected too....More

As a former Dunwoody resident, I was disappointed during my recent trip to Perimeter Mall. I was surprised to see so many empty store fronts and less options in the food court. The mall also seemed to be missing its former energy and vitality. I'm...More

Overall all great mall, plenty of stores to visit and some great restaurants. I didn't think it was a 5 star experience because of a pushy kiosk vendor who wouldn't leave me alone and wanted me to pay $22 for a small bag of chocolate...More

We typically choose the Mall of Georgia but opted for something a bit less familiar this time around. Perimeter Mall has a lovely selection of stores and offers a nice shopping experience for everyone. While it doesn’t have as many stores as the Mall of...More

You can get the train at the airport and take it all the way to Perimeter Mall or Dunwoody, but MARTA doesn't go all the way to Duluth. Either of those are about 15 miles from Duluth, but (*I think*) that's as close as... More

There are many. Starbucks is across the street, on the outisde of the mall. But even better than that is Cafe Intermezzo, also just across the street in a nearby shopping center.

How best to navigate early Mon morn to Air Tran (North)? (3 Replies)
Have to drop my son off for a school trip that leaves Mon morn from the Air Tran tic counter at 7:30am. Then I will go back to the car & head back to the "northern perimeter" area. Where best to park? How easiest to navigate? Considering it is just the child & myself & a BIG suitcase (that we'll also have to check - INSIDE AT the counter w/the whole group, I assume.)? When should we leave considering we are coming from the Perimeter Mall area to the AA?

I know this may sound crazy but the last time I had to take my son to the airport it was for a late night flight and I just parked at our normal place- Park n Fly and took the shuttle and they dropped me off right where Airtran tickets and then I just walked around the corner and hopped back on the shuttle- cost me only about $5.

Perimeter Mall area ? (5 Replies)
Hi, me & the wife are planning a 2 night trip to Atlanta. This will be our first visit there. We were looking at getting a hotel in the Perimeter mall area. Is that a safe/decent area to stay in ? Thanks for any advice.

And to continue that question - spouse, 90 year old mother & I will be staying in the area Thanksgiving Weekend. IS that nuts? The street where our major mall is located becomes a parking lot on Thanksgiving Weekend.

I would stay at the Perimeter. If you're planning on using MARTA at all the hotel is close to a MARTA station and should have a shuttle to MARTA. Cumberland is pretty far from MARTA. The Perimeter area has more restaurants and nicer restaurants and shopping.
