My friends and I try and snatch up travelzoo spa packages when we can and then make a day of it. We were able to get a 60 minute massage or facial for $40.00......a steal!! SpaSentio is located in an up and coming section of downtown Atlanta with great architecture and food every where you look. Parking was a cinch, with the spa located just steps from the parking garage (free parking). When we walked in, we were greeted immediately and offered herbal tea or water. The spa was very "zen" like, placated in white with beautiful pieces of furniture. There were three people in our party, two for facials and one for a body massage. They only have two rooms, so one of us had to wait (they did tell us this when booking)....this could definitely be a downside if you had a large party or were interested in kind of experiencing the spa together. At least the one who waited was given the option to enjoy a nice foot soak, which she said she did enjoy very much. Probably the one thing I would have wanted to know about before coming to this spa is that it's not really the type of spa where you go and spend all day. They don't take you back, let you change in a robe, give you wine, and provide light snacks. It's more like a "spa quickie." You are taken back into a room, they let you change, you have your massage, and you leave. So, if you are wanting a spa experience that lasts and lasts and offers other amenities, this is not the place for you. If you want a quickie, it's a great option! The massage therapist who did my facial was very professional and did a fantastic job. My friend and I that had the facials both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My friend that received the body massage felt that her experience was average, not exceptional. I will say that while checking out, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They provided suggestions for lunch and advised us on upcoming specials. I would definitely return for a spa quickie if in the area!
