Our family loved the exciting Segway tour we took to celebrate a birthday. Our ages ranged from 20s to 70s, and this was a fun activity we could all enjoy together. The safety training made us feel secure and the Segway was surprisingly easy to master for us all. Our guide CK led us through beautiful Midtown Atlanta, along busy streets, active parks, and quiet neighborhoods, always pointing out interesting sights and historical features. CK is enthusiastic about the city and makes a great ambassador. We are locals, but learned a few new things while we enjoyed a fantastic family outing. We plan to go again on the East Atlanta tour on the next birthday!

This was my 5th Segway tour I’ve ever taken and, to be honest, my least favorite. The tour itself was okay. Alice did a good job of narrating and shepherding us. True, it was pretty bare bones. In the past we’ve had headsets so we could all hear the narration and generally they give you some sort of head scarf so you don’t have to hope that the last person who wore your helmet didn’t have lice, but my main complaints were two: 1. The orientation took way too long- a full hour. You kept thinking they were almost finished when they’d bring in more and more late comers. For the tour part, they split into 2 groups- too bad they didn’t do that for the training. By the time that was over, my feet already hurt and they hadn’t even started the tour yet. 2. They wouldn’t let you get off without help. I realize this is a safety precaution but none of the other tours we took ever had this rule. There’s a lot of waiting at stop lights and such. If one can get off and rest one’s feet for a couple of minutes, it really reduces strain and foot pain. We were not allowed to do this and I was pretty uncomfortable much of the time.
