Easily accessible from the Interstate #75. Convenient parking with available valet...took a while to get car after the performance. I saw the travelling performance of West Side Story and it was fabulous!

We attended Turandot's opening performance and we completely enjoyed ourselves. The talent and costumes were wonderful. It's so good to see the Atlanta Opera doing a full season again, and going full-steam ahead at Cobb. I was especially impressed with the woman doing the role of Liu because of the notably gorgeous quality and color of her voice which reminds me of my voice teacher's (in college - used to be a soprano at the Santa Fe Opera and her husband was a leading tenor at the Met). We had dinner at Mangia which was on the mezzanine and it was OK. It was buffet style, but next time we'll just make dinner reservations somewhere.
We chose Mangia for the convenience, but the food seemed like they were trying to make sure to be careful for anyone with food allergies, or a problem with salt. The food was fine, not bad.
The star was the opera, and Atlanta deserves to have its opera on the map. I can't wait for Carmen, and I wish they would do La Bohème soon. My husband, who didn't grow up with classical and opera, absolutely enjoyed it as well, and it was not difficult for him to follow because of the English translation super-captioning on the reader above the stage, and because of the set, costumes, and expression of the singers he enjoyed the story.

We recently attended the Opera Atlanta performance of Turnadot. The performance is massive with over 100 performers on stage, but the coordination of all these performers is so good that it never appears crowded and every person contributes meaningfully to the show. The singing from the chorus to the soloists is first rate. The staging was beautiful and fit all aspects of the story without overwhelming the performers. As usual, the orchestra's performance was flawless. We are regular subscribers and look forward to the next season and would encourage others to explore this venue which is growing and flourishing. You won't be disappointed.

I was very impressed with the production. I've heard opera all over the U.S. and was very happy to have had the opportunity to hear the ATL Opera.

We were so happy to buy the tickets for “Mangia” in addition to our opera tickets for Eugene Onegin. We got to the Cobb Energy Centre at 6. Found great parking. Walked in leisurely. Had a great Russian themed meal on the 3rd floor themed with great service and a 5 minute talk.

It was a wonderful production and the longer pre-opera talk was very informative. The acoustics at the Cobb Energy Center are fantastic and the seats are comfortable.

We went to see Yardbird on Friday night. It was held at Paris on Ponce and was worth the drive. The venue was a perfect setting for this opera about Charlie Parker's death. The singers were fabulous. The supertitles are easy to read. I enjoyed the tables. The jazz trio afterwards was an added touch.

I have been slow to appreciate opera but was exposed to it as a young child. I took my daughter who is 30 and we both loved it. All this to say, it's often an acquired taste, so this piece was perfect for us as newbies. The performance was held at a small theatre with excellent acoustics. I highly recommend this if you're new to opera. Would love to get the opinion of those who have seen many!

My husband and I attended the last showing on Sunday for the Daughter of the Regiment. If I could I’d see it again! It was fantastic and we both enjoyed the talented actors. The sound was prefect from the orchestra to the projection of the actors voices! We have now purchased the remaining shows of this season and the 2018-2019 shows as well!

Cobb Energy Center is a great venue as well They do offer valet parking for a fee, it’s worth every penny! The staff inside is just amazing from ticket person, to the bartenders to the ushers! Be sure to pre order your beverage for intermission, it saves time in line!

We really enjoyed "The Daughter of the Regiment" - a good opera which featured a very good cast. Cobb Energy Center is a large theatre and was about 75% full for the performance. The set was good, not great. The lighting was lacking in moods and relied on cues and states that were general and not reflective of time, mood or atmosphere.
The performances were very good but not world class. Having seen the very best performances in the world, I would suggest that the Atlanta arts scene is somewhat second-tier to London and New York. Indeed, the opera was directed well, but lacked a tightness. The chorus was good but some tableaux work lacked and there was evidence of too much 'acting' in terms of chorus members faking commentary on the action. Less is sometimes more - don't grimace when it is not needed. Suffice it to say that the evening was enjoyable in this impressive theatre. Where the company is very good, it has yet to reach the standards of the best on the world stage and be regarded as excellent. For this, it needs tighter direction and a professional discipline.

I recently saw the Atlanta Opera’s performance of The Flying Dutchman. My friends and I saw the opera in New York this past spring and Atlanta’s held up well iin comparison. The soprano did a very good job and the staging was well done.

This was my first visit to the Cobb Energy Center and it is a great facility for the opera, excellent acoustics and amenities. I’ll return for future operas.
