The ASO is a gem and a gift to Atlanta. The conductors and programs are exceptional. Due to the incompetency of the ASO management, the musicians are in labor turmoil. This city and this symphony deserves better management.

The ASO is a quality orchestra that performs in less than perfect acoustical surroundings. To hear fine tones, go to concerts at Spivey Hall on the Clayton State University campus in the South Metro area of Atlanta.

Wonderful ASO: good music selections. Even better: Great, dramatic explanations given to students for interpretation. Check out the ASO's Education Programs, for sure! Note: The Hall itself is visually ugly, a 60's or 70's PostModern "hideosity." It is good that one can close the eyes,...More

I went to a concert of the Symphony Orchestra once and was surprised to find classical music presented so differently from European concerts - more like a show with an anchorman. Nevertheless, the music was awesome and the Sunday eve well spent.

I have sung in the Atlanta Symphony Chorus for 25 years and worked for the ASO for 4 years, so I know this organization very well. I'm often dismayed that everyone in Atlanta isn't aware that we have one of the best orchestras in the...More

Not sure of your price point but we stay at the Four Seasons and just walk - we pass 4-5 restaurants on the way so eat around 5pm then walk 5-6 minutes to the symphony ... Tip? Get there 15 min early - they have a full bar... More

Yes there will be several bars in the atrium area - not cheap but wonderful to enjoy a drink before and at the interval - this is a wonderful destination
