This extraordinary zoo, one of the oldest in the U.S., underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in the 1980s and is still expanding. Its landscaping replicates the natural habitats of the numerous animals, some of which are endangered species. Four panda bears from China delight the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do their own share of entertaining.

Had a blast!!!! Food is a little pricey but tastes good. Parking lot is not big so might have to park on the side streets. Animals were a hoot.

The Atlanta Zoo continues to improve. The new reptile house is something to see. No longer are the animals kept in small aquariums like you would see in a mall pet shop, now they have real habitats. It's worth a trip if you haven't been in a while and it's fun to go even if you have

I hadn't been to the Atlanta Zoo in about 15 years! They have made excellent changes! I travel a great deal and always want to go to visit the zoo in the city in which I visit. Zoo Atlanta is one of the best! You will absolutely love it!

Zoo Atlanta has a huge campus and lots of animals. I went in November, and the only animals that were already in for the winter were the Elephants.

I'm a picky person when it comes to zoos, but this zoo is great. Especially since it's in such a populated city. We got there around 10am which was good because all of the animals were active. Their panda exhibit is the best I've seen. And the gorillas and zebras and giraffes....all great! Only downside was the train ride. It's... More

My husband and I visited the zoo in Atlanta as a birthday treat for our twin boys. My twins were turning 5 years old and love all sorts of animals, so I thought the zoo would be the perfect place to take them. We also brought along our two younger toddlers. I have been to other larger zoos, like the... More

My Niece and Grand daughter just loved the Zoo and all that was offered re seeing the animals and the petting zone! Food is a little pricey so I would definitely suggest bringing lunch and juice boxes/water from home...Sneakers vs flip flops as my niece broke hers so it was a little challenging for her walking...They do charge to feed... Be prepared to walk through this zoo. It is very large and has a large variety of animals. It is well located in Atlanta. There are animals from the African Plains such has giraffes, rhinos and elephants. there are also Asian species and a rainforest section. Don't miss the pandas. They are a treat. Admission is reasonable. This is a... More
