This extraordinary zoo, one of the oldest in the U.S., underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in the 1980s and is still expanding. Its landscaping replicates the natural habitats of the numerous animals, some of which are endangered species. Four panda bears from China delight the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do their own share of entertaining.

Perfect length/size for the family. We have a 2 year old and she absolutely loves it. It's great for out of town visitors or just locals that want to have a fun afternoon looking at the beautiful wildlife. The Zoo is clean, well organized and overall a very nice experience. Highly recommended!

Good layout, fairly good habitats, informative signs could have listed more information, such as what the specimens were related to, their habits, etc. Landscaping was good with ID tags.

Had a nice time walking around looking at the animals. What can you say about a zoo? It was clean, animals looked well cared for.

If you're a family of 4, one trip will cost you almost as much as a Family Season Pass so your best money is spent on the Season Pass. Get there early for a couple of reasons. First, the parking. Unless you like hunting for parking for long periods of time, get there when the zoo opens so the parking... More

Great place to hang out with kids. they had so much fun. Zoo is not too big or too small If you go early morning...you will get to see many animals active including pandas. parking is easy and free I do think panda enclosure needs to be bigger. Kids really had a blast and enjoyed snacks. tip: if you have... More

Had a total blast. There was plenty to do and it was entertaining the entire day. Parking was a breeze and not far from the zoo itself. Bird shows were the highlight of the trip. Totally suggest especially with small children.

I seldom go to the reptile exhibits because I am not fond of reptiles and they just lie there. This zoo has the most amazing reptile (and amphibian) house with excellent presentation and active snakes, lizards and turtles. The king cobra was eating a rat; other snakes and lizards were slithering around. The information was excellent including an app for... More

I have to say the parking was a nightmare I had to walk three blocks to get into the place. OMG so many kids and teachers yelling at their kids trying to keep them straight but I understand but it just wasn't a place for me and my brothers and husband. Staff was very friendly

Lots of animals & plants to see. New reptile building is beautiful! Twin pandas are growing up quickly. Many young gorillas & orangutans. Three lions brothers are almost full grown.
