Great place to visit

The gorge is beautiful and the hike to the bottom is quick and worth the time as it is very serene at the bottom.

My wife and I were on a Fall Foliage Tour and one of the stops was Woodstock, Vermont. We walked around downtown Woodstock and discovered this Covered Bridge in town. It was called the Woodstock Middle Bridge. The town was cute to see. Check out the bridge if you are ever in Woodstock.

We came across this river completely accidentally on the trip from Sugarbush. This picture was taken from the highway, 180' above the river. The view was gorgeous. There is plenty of parking and a safe walkway for the view./

In some spots, the Ottaquechee River is deep enough for fly fishing, and in other areas you can easily walk from one bank to the other. Took one of my favorite couples photos while standing in the gently flowing Ottaquechee, right next to Long Trail Brewery & Pub.

Used this typical Vermont Covered Bridge to photograph a car I had for the weekend. Easy to use as a background for Photography... little traffic and the moving river below and about 50 yards away a small water fall / dam.

If coming from the highway, go across the bridge and there is a wonderful parking area to your right where you can get some great pictures of yourself and this re-constructed covered bridge. I guess it washed out a few years back with Hurricane Katrina.

Once you see the big red covered bridge slow down and drive through it. There are several small areas to park and walk down to the river. This is a must do if you are in the area and it does not take much time since it is right off rt 4 on the way to Woodstock.

Excellent views of fall foliage over the river at multiple locations - the Taftsville and Woodstock Middle Ground covered bridges are great spots!

Beautiful River that is great location for photos. Lovely red covered bridge that you can drive across over the river. Makes a great area for photos. There are usually lots of cars parked off to the side...people trying to get photos, so be careful and make sure to stay out of the way of oncoming cars.
