It is a covered bridge one lane that you see off route 4, near Woodstock. I enjoy looking, driving, walking any covered bridge, but this red color one is special.

Highly recommend the view of the gorge. The bridge over the gorge has protected pedestrian viewing on both sides. You can also take a variety of hiking trails down to the gorge.

The river is fine, but it's spanned by a large number of historic covered bridges. Just drive around to as many as you can find.

We were on the hunt for covered bridges while up in Vermont recently. The Taftsville Bridge is another gem. This is a lovely photo opportunity and over a great spot on the river. Stop and enjoy these treasures bridges. They are worth the hunt!

My sister and I were traveling thru New Hampshire and took a leisure drive to vermont to see some of the covered bridges. We drove thru the Taftsville bridge and I am so glad we did. It was such a beautiful drive and it was nice to see the covered bridges.

We were blessed to accidentally get to see this wonderful covered bridge on our recent New England vacation. We drove through Woodstock specifically to visit Sugarbush Farms. While we were there, one of the workers asked if we'd driven over the covered bridge. On the way out, by accident we did and we were so glad! It is beautiful and... More

The Taftsville covered bridge is a large, red bridge that spans the river and is very pretty. We ran by it during the Covered Bridges Half Marathon. Very picturesque.

Most of the bridges have been rebuilt since 2013, but there is still one 1877 bridge. You should find this one remaining old bridge off of route 4 and check it out. It's very quiet and serene.
