eMTB - Benahavis River & Mountain XC - 31km - Moderate Level

Benahavis village sits in the foothills of the mountains behind the Costa del Sol.Trails head pretty much directly from the village up into the hills, providing exciting mtb challenges very close by. We also explore below the village, on easier but still beautiful terrain. A great way to escape the coastal crowds and experience the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

We head directly up into the hills behind the village with a short sharp climb to gain some initial height. Then we make a quick loop up high, with views inland over the mountains and down to the sea. Coming back past the village, we enjoy some flowing tracks at lower level

Note: Moderately technical sections throughout this ride, so you will need basic mtb skillls.

Golf course ok but not more. Just a few people in the restaurant. After one hour we decided to leave without getting any food. The very unpleasant staff have no explanations and absolutely no excuses why it took so long time. Don’t go there!

Great clubhouse, new gym. However, I came to learn how to play golf. The driving range is too narrow.I was not allowed to use any woods to practice my swing.the course layout makes it impossible to pin down a landing spot for a golf ball that flies beyond 400 feet.I don't recommend this place.

The golf course was probably in its best and most attractive form only after its construction in the 1990s. We expected a modern golf club, but in fact it turned out to be older than us. The golf course is already worn out, the training zone does not stand up to criticism, and the location of individual greens allows the ball to fly over the net onto the road. So stock up on balls. I understand that there are flaws, but why golfers should suffer from this.

Dinner at the main restaurant. Winter menu looks good and competitive prising. Had salmon tartar on bed of avocado and for main Pork Sirloin with vegetables and mushrooms. Really tasty and freshly made! House white wine which also nice and dry. Only issue is that the sports bar is located within the restaurant and very noisy, hard to talk when dining. However all in all a nice evening 😊

Good staff, but the golf course pulls only "satisfactorily." Negative was the impression of the Driving Range. Perhaps this is the worst part of the golf club: a narrow rounded corridor, covered with high nets on both sides. Balls during training can fly over the net to the first hole. Golf course. When hit in the bunker, the ball buries in the sand and is difficult to knock out. The condition of the launching sites leaves much to be desired. Some fairways are in very poor condition. Golfers should be aware of this.
