This was an amazing trip for four of us: mountain biking in Slovenia. Nejc was an outstanding guide for two weeks of custom rides and local tours. He took care of all of the details from hotels to restaurants. We drove from town to town, spending a few days exploring each area. The tours gave us a chance to visit with locals. They were all fun an interesting. The accommodations were perfect. Our rides were carefully chosen for our level of comfort and adventure. The Slovenian people that we met were all
very anxious to ensure our comfort and needs. Nejc picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and provided for our entertainment, comfort and safety for the whole trip. I highly recommend both Slovenia and HourAway for anyone considering bike touring/hiking in Slovenia.

Our guided tour with Nejc of Hour Away bike tours and cycling holidays was outstanding. Nejc ensured our safety on a 14-day tour of his “backyard” in beautiful Slovenia. As older folks on e-bikes he pushed us to ride roads, two-track and even some single track to incredible vistas in the mountains. While each day was mostly planned, Nejc was flexible and managed to answer a multitude of questions. He knew great cheese makers, wineries and important historical and ecological sites to visit. I highly recommend Hour Away and Nejc.

Nejc has brilliant knowledge of his beautiful homeland and tailors your trips to your biking experience and interests. If you've never tried an e-mountain bike, there's no better place than Slovenia with Houraway. This is very much a biking country and you get to see so much more than you can by hiking. E-bikes still require some effort but the help they give you on the uphill stretches enable you to reach those parts you'd otherwise struggle with.

The company created a bespoke tour for me that far surpassed my expectations and was value for money.
I enjoy mtb in the uk and to experience e- mtb for the first time was amazing and I rode trails otherwise my fitness would have not allowed
It’s safe to say I’m now an e-bike convert. If you want to go either mountain biking or just touring this is the company for you. There communication was brilliant and I can’t fault them in any way.

Nejc and Yeri made our e-biking tour spectacular, well beyond our expectations. If we could we would give them 10 stars. They were attentive, professional, and inspiring in every way. The hills of Slovenia are breathtaking. If you love the outdoors and some adventure, this tour is a must. If you are not a professional mountain biker, no worries: the e-bikes give you just enough help. Slovenia is a gorgeous country and this tour was our favorite experience. Thank you again for an amazing time!

I hesitate to start a review with “wow” but that’s the word that sums up every aspect of this incredibly scenic, fun, challenging, and unforgettable experience. Klemen was our guide for this particular tour, and he was fantastic. As someone who has virtually no experience with off-road cycling, I didn’t really know what to expect. Klemen made sure that we understood how the e-bikes work (it’s actually really easy), that we were never riding on trails or in situations that were beyond our abilities, and that most important of all, we were having a good time. The ride takes you through canopies of forest followed by the most beautiful scenic vistas across valleys and hills and the most quaint little alpine villages. This is the kind of travel experience that makes you say “how lucky am I?” The answer is “very”. Thank you Klemen for being such a great guide- something tells me that I will be remembering this day fondly for many years to come.

This was a great way to explore the region around Skofia Loka. The tour took us through beautiful scenery over rolling hills, through some villages and forests and with some adrenaline-rush inducing downhill runs.
We cooled off with a drink stop and a dip in the river in Skofia Loka, and relaxed at a cafe in the old town square. Nejc was a great guide, entertaining us along the way with stories about this region where he grew up. The tour never felt rushed - Nejc allowed us as much time as we wanted at each stop.
Was my first time on an e-bike and I can now understand ahy they have become so popular. Don't miss this tour!!!

We have had a holiday in Slovenia, one of those few hidden gems that tourists haven't discovered yet. At our hotel we were introduced to Nate, a young entrepreneur who has an outdoor sports business. Booked a half day with our kids going up the mountains on the electric bikes. Great day, amazing views and local knowledge which Nate loves to share. Wish their were more people like Nate with a passion for nature and the outdoors his energy is infectious and we all came away with big smiles. He will tailor make a package for you on your interests and abilities. Book him up if you can!!! Highly recommended.
