I am not a ¨church¨visitor when I travel, but this church ¨called me¨ and is wonderful, amazing. The colors, the details, the floor, the paintings, everything. Other reviews here maybe can say better than me, but take your time and enjoy it. Please, be respectfully.

It is located to the northeast of the Port, close to beach, and is easy to find by day or during the hours of darkness. By day, it appears as a magnificent Byzantine structure, basically white with gold surfaced upper domes, while the lower domes are bright blue. At the front are two bell towers, and these and the domes all are surmounted with golden crosses. By night the Church is floodlit.
Internally, it is a building of immense beauty. Polished marble floors, and walls adorned with frescoes. This Eastern Orthodox Church was finished in 2016, and is free to enter.
The Church is set in a well kept garden area surrounded by a low wall topped with an attractive wrought iron railing.

A truly spectacular structure. Stands out as the rose set in a town that seems neglected and run down.
Interior matches the exterior in detail and awesomeness.

We entered the huge building of the church at the entrance of Bar, the interior is fascinating, full with fresco paintings among them one with a Russian soldier threathning a group of people, I assume part of them royal family, part are common people, part are saints. we couldn't understand what is the story behind this picture. but we learned of the strugle of the priest Bogic Femic to build the church and the people's protest till it's building was approved.

Everything about it is magnificent: the setting, the floors, the frescoes, the chandeliers, the iconography, the incense burners.
This new church shines from the distance. There is a parking lot across the road, but you have to cross it at your own risk.

The interior of the church is absolutely breathtaking. You could easily spend an hour in there looking at all the individual paintings!

There's also free entrance and you can take photos (just no flash) 😊
Definitely worth a visit if you're in Montenegro!

I mistakenly called this a Greek Orthodox Church in my review of Hotel Princess, Bar. It is,in fact, Serbian Orthodox, and is relatively new, having been constructed from 2006-2016. The outside is lovely, with a magnificent golden dome. It is set in a large open area, which make it stand out. The frescos inside are vibrant and stunning, as are the lighting. As several reviewers have stated it is wonderfully serene and tranquil inside. There is a small shop in the precinct with religious items and post cards. It is well worth a visit away from the hustle of the busy street outside.

Very different type of Orthodox Church with great paintings and some of them even making a stand against Soviet Union attack against the Church. Enormous Church for such a small town like Bar.

This is a beautiful church and was only completed in 2016.

No photos allowed inside but we managed to sneak a couple.
