An amazing church with a definite WOW factor
Oct 2019
It is located to the northeast of the Port, close to beach, and is easy to find by day or during the hours of darkness. By day, it appears as a magnificent Byzantine structure, basically white with gold surfaced upper domes, while the lower domes are bright blue. At the front are two bell towers, and these and the domes all are surmounted with golden crosses. By night the Church is floodlit.
Internally, it is a building of immense beauty. Polished marble floors, and walls adorned with frescoes. This Eastern Orthodox Church was finished in 2016, and is free to enter.
The Church is set in a well kept garden area surrounded by a low wall topped with an attractive wrought iron railing.

Amazing. Couldn't believe this is a 21st Century church
Sep 2019
This church looked stunning, even in the rain. We were about to go round the city's ring road towards the old town (Stari Bar) and noticed this amazing edifice as we approached the roundabout from the Budva direction. Well worth stopping - and it's even more stunning inside. The highly decorated interior includes amazing frescoes and wall paintings throughout - DO NOT FAIL to go inside! Built within 10 years, from 2006 until 2016, this just shows the old skills are still there.

Stunning Church
Sep 2019 • Family
The interior of the church is absolutely breathtaking. You could easily spend an hour in there looking at all the individual paintings!

There's also free entrance and you can take photos (just no flash) 😊
Definitely worth a visit if you're in Montenegro!

Definitely worth stopping by. It is very colourful inside. Make sure you cover yourself out of respect(shorts and t-shirt are fine).

Short walk from the beach to this wonder.

Stunning church both inside and out. Free to enter and some great photos can be taken outside. Probably looks even better at night!

New Orthodox glamour church
May 2019 • Couples
We stopped at this church, because we were looking to buy a nice icon and the church has a shop with good choice (albeit rather commercial reproductions). Although the Serbian Orthodox Church is very new, it is worthwhile visiting because of its size and extensive frescoes. It is all a bit glittery, but still impressive.

A rose amongst the Bar thorns
Jun 2019 • Friends
A truly spectacular structure. Stands out as the rose set in a town that seems neglected and run down.
Interior matches the exterior in detail and awesomeness.

Stunning new Orthodox Church
Jun 2019 • Couples
I mistakenly called this a Greek Orthodox Church in my review of Hotel Princess, Bar. It is,in fact, Serbian Orthodox, and is relatively new, having been constructed from 2006-2016. The outside is lovely, with a magnificent golden dome. It is set in a large open area, which make it stand out. The frescos inside are vibrant and stunning, as are the lighting. As several reviewers have stated it is wonderfully serene and tranquil inside. There is a small shop in the precinct with religious items and post cards. It is well worth a visit away from the hustle of the busy street outside.

The focal point as you approach Bar is this beautiful church. The interior is as breath taking as the exterior beautiful paintings and a fantastic ceiling lighting fixture

Stunning modern Orthodox Church. Richly painted inside, a sight to see. At sunset the light on the golden domes is spectacular.
