We visited the church as a service was in progress. We are evangelical Christians, not Orthodox, and I did not think to cover my head before entering. No one stared or glared. I was struck by the hopelessness etched on the faces of the faithful.
This church is a landmark in this city of Chita. It's located between Lenin Square and the Chita Railway Station. It's probably the first structure that will catch your eye from afar as you approach the city.
