Special Surf 78 provides quality surf lessons on the best area in Peniche and Baleal for surfing. Our commitment to all our clients is to ensure with all our professionalism that you will have the best surfing experience of your life, making you progress in your learning quickly, consistently and effectively! In our school, you will effectively learn to surf and have an instructor who will always be accompanying you with the utmost attention, correcting and encouraging throughout the lesson. A reference school in Peniche characterized by the degree of professionalism of its instructors for the technical and scientific knowledge in teaching surf. Besides all kind of lessons (also video analysis), we also rent bicycles and all kind of surf equipment. We have longboards and shortboards of different sizes, thicknesses and shapes for all levels of ability (beginner,intermediate,experienced,and advanced). High-quality surf wetsuits of different sizes that fit all sorts of people.

My husband and two children (aged 7 and 10) did 5 days of surf classes with the Special Surf 78 team and it was excellent in every way. The kids LOVED it (my 7 year old says it is his new favourite sport) and my husband was really impressed that we was able to stand up quite consistently after just five 2-hour sessions. The team is professional, but also really friendly and great with kids. We can't recommend them highly enough and will be back again for sure.

We took 2 lessons with augustina. We really enjoyed the lessons and learned a lot! Everyone was friendly and the materials and accommodations were also good! If we come back to peniche, we will definitely take another surflesson with them!

Me and my systers had so much fun trying out surfing! The teachers were secure, knowligable and sweet. We only took a few lessons but made progress at every one of them. We would love to come back! A great way to spend your holiday.

We met Edgar, who was our surf instructor and as complete beginners we found him excellent. His instructions were very clear and practical and his teaching technique was tailored and personalised to each individuals ability in the group. All his time was spent in the water with us, providing hands on advice. We observed other schools which had very large groups and the instructors stood on the beach looking at their students and did not appear to be dispensing advice. These students were clearly doing wrong techniques e.g. in the way they carried their boards into the water with difficulty etc.
Special surf 78 is located right on the beach meaning no long walks or transportation issues. Superb service!

We decided to have a surf lesson for begginners and it was a really good idea. It was really funny and the teacher was very helpful eith the waves and giving advices! It was a reslly good experience here in Peniche! Very recommendable! Thank you a lot

The team at Special surf have been so lovely and patient helping my husband and I learning to surf!!!! I am a beginner and they have helped me to get from flapping around in the water to standing on the board and riding small waves!!! I have wheel that fear of the sea and am certainly not a natural surf chick, so if they can get me (unfit and 47) to stand, they must be amazing 😁😁😁. Thank you so much - we are loving it... xxx

I rented a board and a suit and they were very nice. Totally helpful on getting me in the waves. Castle and windmill in the back ground at the break. Even gave me a ride to town to get pizza. I don't know when I will see them again, but I hope Soon.

Me and my partner had never surfed before prior to this trip. We took two lessons, whilst on our weekend holiday. The three instructors we had over the two lessons were super friendly, really good teachers and gave clear and good advice to help our development - teaching my girlfriend a new technique when she struggled with the first. We were both standing up by the end of our session. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, top people and top lessons.

This is my second trip to Peniche and my second time with Special Surf 78. The 1st time was with my son and now I brought 6 of my college students. They loved the surf lesson and we all had a blast. I wouldn't take lessons anywhere else.
