Breathtaking views and when we were there we were treated to watching a school of about 20-30 dolphins swimming by. Pity the restaurant has closed down as refreshments would add to the attraction. Even without refreshments it's worth the visit.

It is a nice and windy places but quite far and personally not worth the ride. I find the last point of Baleal island much prettier and easy to reach, with more charme and facilities around.

Wow ! what a gorgeous Atlantic coastline with waves bashing against the huge cliffs. It wanting to see some excellent scenery in Portugal driving around Peniche is a must do. Cabo Carvoeiro has always been a blackspot for shipwrecks & one can easily see why with the huge cliffs looking towards the Berlengas Archipelago.
We were driving down to Lisbon from Óbidos & decided to do a detour to Peniche. We were glad we did as viewing the stunning scenery of Cabo Carvoeiro was a highlight for us. The cliff formation are fabulous to see & definitely worth your time to view . There is a restaurant at the edge of the cliff which looked amazing but it was closed at the time we visited as it was early morning.

Great spot to take some beautiful photos of the Atlantic crashing into the rocks on the point... the rock formations are unique and are fun to explore... with kids you need to ensure that they explore safely... worth seeing

The Cape Carvoeiro and a place with beautiful views of the lighthouse in this archipelago of Peniche. The place and ideal to see one by the magnificent sun falling into the sea and near the islands. See that wild sea stayed in my memory forever. In the camp in a camping for caravans in front of this natural beauty.

These cliffs around Peniche are quite interesting rock formations. I wasnt a big fan of the views, as all you can see is sea everywhere you look (like many other places). But the rocks make very unusual shapes, reminding at some places the pancake rocks in New Zealand. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Peniche doing something else. I wouldnt go there just for this attraction though

Looking at the open ocean, just several meters from the most western point of the European continent, this rock is the most beautiful statue made by the power of sea and wind.

I love the views of the ocean from Cabo Carvoeiro. You can ride along this area and stop at various points to see the rock formations and beautiful blue water. While the town of Peniche is nice with its bobbin lace and great seafood, the ride to the cabo is worth it.
