We visited the island on 20 Oct (Saturday). We wanted to do a free & easy tour, so we tried to book ferry transit beforehand. But there isn’t a proper website that allows us to book, as most websites only offer full package tour, and...More
To my opinion must visit place - Taking the boat from Peniche and in 20 min you enter the magical island that offers : Snorkeling, hiking, amazing view, cool caves, private beach and one of the most beautiful water colors. The Fort was nice clean...More
The greatest part of the trip is the sailing between the coast and the island. The island itself is quite barren, not much to see there. The caves are nice, although honestly you do not see much of them. And the glass floor of the...More
Berlenga Island off the coast of Peniche (one hour from Lisbon Portugal) is a beautiful unspoiled island great for a visit, swimming , snorkeling and sightseeing.
You get there by boat (buy the trip from vendors at Peniche’s dock but beware , don’t buy the...More
We were at the Berlengas island in the mid of september. It was great because on the land in Peniche it was very foggy and cold. On the other side on the berlengas island it was sunny and nice temperature. I woud recomended it for...More
We did the tour with feeling Berlengas. I would recommend the speedboat trip it's great fun and worth the money. We booked the glass boat tour with it and it was not that spectacular but worth it and they gave a nice explanation during the...More
It makes for a beautiful summer day trip. Because of previous irregularities, visits to the small islands are limited, so you have to book your trip in a defined time slot, that usually is no longer than 5h (including the transfer itself), meaning that there...More
Sorry but the lady who gave it 1 star must be one of those tourists who go abroad and spend whole week in all inclusive hotel, sweating next to the pool.
The boat ride was scary yes. We took “Feeling Berlenga” yellow speed boat. That...More
Truly beautiful islands just off the coast of Peniche, Portugal north of Lisbon with crystal clear waters and dramatic red rock cliffs. The islands have a rich history of pirates and use as a protective stronghold to guard the coast with a brilliant fort to...More
After reading all the glowing reviews about the trip from other visitors we decided to give it a go. We found it difficult to book a boat crossing as it was in the height of the summer and boat trips were in high demand.
Its worth staying 6 hours in the island, the little beach, the castle, having a drink... worth visiting. I can not tell u about the timetables, but they seem quite flexible, even disorganized ablut the trips
Buying a boat trip ticket to Berlengas Archipelago (10 Replies)
Hello , We are going to stay in Praia de São Martinho do Porto at the beginning of september and we want to do a day trip to Berlengas Archipelago . If we want to buy a boat trip ticket we need to be in Peniche at least an hour before the boat leaves and we have to drive all the way to Peniche , that means we need to leave very early to do that and its a bit of a problem... Is there a way to buy the ticket online from a reliable source? Do you think its better for us to spend 1 night...More

Is there a way to buy the ticket online from a reliable source? As far as I know no there are no tickets online. And considering that the sea conditions, fog and tide has a lot of influence on those boat journeys I wouldn't risk it. For the same reason (sea/fog) I think that making the sacrifice of an early rise is better than spending money on an overnight and then not being possible to do the journey...

Hi guys, so me and my other 5 pals are doing a trip in Portugal this August. We will be staying from Aug 16th-22nd in Peniche and then from 22nd til 27th in Lisbon. We will be flying in and out of LIS airport. So after landing around 3PM, we will have to get somehow to Peniche that day. Any tips on how to get there fastest/cheapest? Our plan in Peniche ist to relax on the beach, probably take a boat to Berlengas Archipelago for one day (from what I´ve seen on the internet it seems a round...More

then hike "down" the Parque Natural de Sintra-Cascais and be at sunset at Cabo da Roca - What?? You have no idea how far this is. So forget the hike, and as already said the bus schedule is not friendly for the sunset hours.
Portugal summer trip with friends (1 Replies)
Hey guys, so me and my pals (20yr olds) have just booked flight tickets to Lisbon for the 16th of August this summer (arrival around 3PM). Our flight home departs on the 27th of August (departure around 7AM). I was wondering whether you could give us some tips regarding this trip. We will be on a (strict) budget (20-25e per day, accommodation excl.) and we were advised not to go south to the Algarve region to avoid crowds. So our original plan was to take a bus/train to Peniche right...More
