About
Malta Chocolate Factory is the must-see attraction in Malta. The kitchen viewing window into the factory allows you to see artisanal chocolates being handmade on the spot with Maltese ingredients while sharing with you the whole process of how chocolate is formed and made. Special dedicated events are regularly held in our Experience Centre upstairs. For the kids - Junior Chocolatier classes, where kids learn the process of making chocolate and try in a hands-on supervised workshop to make their own creations to take home. As well as something for the grown ups too with wine, beer, cocktail and chocolate pairings. Group tours are also bookable upon request, as well as booking for birthday parties, baby showers, hen parties as well as corporate training seminars. Entry to Malta Chocolate Factory is totally FREE. Try our free samples and as we like to say... taste the fun, through our dedicated events!

A group of my friends and I went to a Harry Potter themed cocktail and chocolate pairing event that the Malta Chocolate Factory was hosting and it was a truly magical experience. It was a really fun night where everyone was laughing and having fun, including our host for the evening, the lovely Gina who was very insightful, helpful and nice! The place itself is very clean and the chocolate is of a superior quality. My friends and I are looking forward to visiting again and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun time and great quality chocolate. Thank you!

The chocolate is made right in front of you (through the window) and out in the store are great variety packages from solid bars, to shapes, to clusters with nuts, and more. Prices for each variety range from 2 Euros to about 10 Euros. Larger assortments are available. Your can also buy the chocolates by the each and make up your own selection.A very nice store!

In addition to the package chocolates, there is an area for eat-in from the chocolate confections, to coffee, to drinks, and more. A very nice visit (It is hidden from the main road but near the McDonalds just ½ block off the seashore drive in St Paul's Bay.

Worth stopping in and buying some authentic Malta chocolates!

What to do with kids for an hour or so on a wet holiday? I can recommend this activity. You do not have to book for this. It is available everyday, all day while the coffee/chocolate shop is open. The kids are given an apron as it can get messy. They are given a tray with the outline in milk chocolate of a couple of figures. They are given a piping bag with melted chocolate in it. They then pipe the chocolate onto the tray figures. Then they decorate with sprinkles, marshmallows etc. These go in the fridge for a little while, (while we finish our drinks or purchase some of the lovely handmade chocolate delights) You get your chocolate figures wrapped to take home. A definite hit with our family. There are other activities that do need to be prebooked, we would definitely book these for future visits.

To the rude woman serving today 17/2/20
You lost out on what would of been a big sale of chocolate boxes to take back to friends and family in England . When I'm buying gifts you dont tell a customer your disappointed in them for buying biscotti and nougurt. I was going to buy other items but your manner just put me off saying your in a chocolate shop look at the other products just pure rudeness . You do not tell me what to buy when I'm the customer and knew what I wanted to purchase. I would tell people to avoid buying here due to this woman no customer service manner in the slightest shame theres not a zero rating

So sorry you had this experience. Our staff member was possibly a little too enthusiastic to explain to you about our chocolate options for people who normally cannot consume chocolate for health reasons. She was excited to mention the fact that we carry sugar-free chocolate options within our range of over 100 products. It may have come across as over-bearing which was not her intention at all - it was a genuine excitement that we may be able to allow you to eat chocolate again since you mentioned you were unable to consume it. We do not do or believe in pushy sales but on reflection our staff member said she could see that her enthusiasm might have come across as this. We have taken your feedback at the shop and here to improve and train and thank you for taking the time to let us know. We hope to see you again at our shop and hope the next interaction has a better outcome.

Good to watch the informative videos and to watch whatever is going on through the viewing window. Staff were always friendly and welcoming and we discovered they served an excellent range of coffees. Vegan specials at lunchtime also proved a success.
Of course, while you are there you have the opportunity to buy from the array of bars and boxes, but there is never pressure to do so.

Popped in for a hot drink with a friend one afternoon. Lovely friendly staff. Coffee reasonably priced, but 50c for a tiny jug of oat milk seemed excessive.

Good range of vegan chocolates using coconut oil to make them.

Great to watch what's going on through the viewing window into the factory itself.

The courses look very interesting.

We did not take any tour of classes but we did try lots of their products and we can highlight recommend it place. They serve really special high quality chocolate based products. We had a hot dark chocolate with orange and it was awesome. The pancakes were also delicious. Not to mention the chocolate egged for home!
Must visit this place!

Mine and my partners favourite chocolate shop, we visited on our first ever holiday as a couple and got engaged at our hotel and this chocolate shop is a lovely reminder of treasured memories and the chocolate is 10/10.

The staff went above and beyond to get some chocolate out to me in the uk for mine and my partners 10 year anniversary and his face when he opened it just melted my heart.

Thankyou so much to all the staff at Malta chocolate factory we hope to visit again in person someday soon but until then we wish you all the best.

Tom and Harry.

Best iced coffee you will find in Europe as close to aussie iced coffee you can get and the chocolate 100% on par with cadbury itself. So many flavours and varieties i think we bought one of wverything in store. Amazing service from all staff especially the aussie owner and plenty of samples to try
Highly highly recommend a visit for a coffee or sweet treat and definitely the place to buy all your souvenirs for friends and family back home

While their chocolate may be decent, dont bother grabbing a bite to eat here. Their toasted sandwiches are dry and hard. ( I covered mine in tomato sauce to make it more palatable 🙈) their extra thick milkshakes and normal milkshake have the exact same consistency. 150 ml of foamy milk. Strongly advise you don’t order food or drink here while shopping for your chocolate
