About
The Classic Car Collection was the brainchild of obsessive petrol-head Mr. Carol Galea, an avid and self-confessed car enthusiast. He first began customizing and building his own cars for local hill climbing races but his hobby evolved into a full-blown passion for classic cars. This is his personal tribute to the automobile industry – or as he puts it – it’s a ‘living and growing collection that spans more than 50 years of motor manufacturing’ The museum has approximately 60 Vehicles on display ranging from a Jaguars, Alfa Romeos, Fiats, MGs, Mercedes, Chevrolette, Ferrari, Bentley etc. They have all been carefully restored and lovingly preserved. There is also a Cinemas and a Motoring Library on site that one can explore.

- MrGerbilCroydon, United Kingdom8 contributionsLovely car museumPlenty of beautiful and perfectly restored cars, well worth the 10 euro entrance fee. Also many nice model cars and other memorabilia from the past 70 years. You should allow at least one hour, maybe two, to do it all justice.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 8, 2023

Some unusual cars all in immaculate condition and the museum is so well and thoughtfully laid out. We really enjoyed our visit. - Peter SimmonsLondon, United Kingdom137 contributionsA TREAT EVEN FOR NON CAR DRIVERSWe spent 2 hours 15 minutes here. Cost 10 euros. A fabulous collection of classic cars and even smaller 'dinky' cars. A good film on Italian race from Rome to Brescia is worth watching. Located in Bugibba and a wonderful wet day option.Visited December 2023Traveled with friendsWritten December 7, 2023
- soinic2,920 contributionsW🙂WDon't miss the entrance ... look for the blue Bugatti! From outside, the museum looks very small, but don't hesitate to enter it ... you'll be surprised! 🤩 Friendly welcome 👍 10 Euro/pp, value for money Plenty of excellent little (& big gems) on 4 wheels, but also on 2 wheels ... to enjoy 🌞 Don't miss the "mille miglia" movie in the "cinéma" 😉Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 6, 2024
- WillntomsgrandadLeicester, United Kingdom7 contributionsWell worth a visit.Excellent for all petrol heads, with a few other none cars thrown in. All the cars were well looked after. As others mentioned, the front is small, as the 2 floors are below street level. Don’t let that put you off. Well worth a visit.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 16, 2024
- BuggsiTeignmouth, United Kingdom133 contributionsA trip down memory laneWhat a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. This tucked away gem is a great example of what love can do and the people looking after this collection really do seem to love what they do. The cars are the stars of the show, all beautifully presented, shining examples of iconic cars surrounded by the quirky collectables that raise a smile! The onsite workshop adds to the atmosphere bringing the labour intensive process of renovation into sharp focus. ,Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 3, 2024
- Yet_Another_User_Nam4 contributionsUnexpectedly GoodAn excellent car museum and unexpectedly good for a small island like Malta. Many lovely classics from the 1960s which for me is the peak of classic motoring. This museum does not compete with the best in Italy or France but it is a lot closer than I would have guessed and prices were very reasonable. The displays are quirky and when we visited the museum was empty. Maybe in season the extra crowds would take away from the experience slightly.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 16, 2024
- Andree G48 contributionsimpressive car collectionWell worth a visit if you like classic cars and motorcycles. They have all being well restored with amazing paintwork. - Kayleigh EHastings, United Kingdom121 contributionsFabulousI honestly went in with pretty low expectations especially as cars isn't my thing but I was amazed. It was well I'm gobsmacked at the collection. The small details. The smell and the things I learnt even. I really enjoyed myself. Really good and a good price. Our family really enjoyed ourselves. Never thought id have so many photos of cars.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 26, 2024

Located conveniently near the Terminus of the 212 bus, in Qawra, the museum is located beneath a block of flats in Tourist Street. Entry is 10 euros pp but well worth it. There is a fine collection of automobiles including Jaguars and Alfa Romeos etc several interesting short films and a cinema which was showing the history of the Mille Miglia . You can also view the Restoration Area where three guys were working on an Alfa Romeo Spider.

Excellent little place…..hidden away in the back streets but easy enough to find and is literally a few minutes from main bus stop.
If you love cars, especially classics this place is a must. Very happy to pay the €10 entrance fee as it’s evident the amount of love, effort and dedication that has been put into this collection.
There’s also lots of other nostalgic memorabilia from over the decades that refreshes the memories of old.
There’s also a small cinema room playing films of old car races etc.
Great visit all round and even my 75 year old mother enjoyed it! Thank you.

We visited here on a very hot day with our two kids - 6 and 8. I like cars, but wouldn’t say I’m an enthusiast. However, it was only 15 mins walk from our hotel (The Dolmen) and there aren’t many attractions in and around Bugibba! It was EUR 30 for the 4 of us, so not the most expensive excursion by any means. However, given the age of the kids, we were around the whole place twice in 40 mins then it was time to go!
The cars really are beautiful though - especially the Jaguar E-type that has been lovingly restored, which really is a thing of beauty. If you’re a car enthusiast, you’ll really get a kick out of the collections on display here.

Entrance fee reasonable. Liked this museum as lots of interesting things to see and the cars were really well displayed in themes. Lots of classics to see from Fords, Fiats, Jags, Minis and evening American. Loved the Morris mini commercial pick up. There is a restoration garage at the back which is good to watch .. the levels of quality is amazing.

A very enjoyable couple of hours spent at the classic car museum. Myself and my wife had a tour and it was brilliant my wife is not into cars but enjoyed the experience as it's not just cars there are loads of other exhibits of the era like household gadgets etc from former decades. We also had a good chat with one of the restorers and the guy on the door who were very informative. €10 well spent

When on holiday in Malta we always try to visit as the exhibits change from year to year. However on our last visit we were delighted to attend a special tour with wine and cheese. The tour was hosted by the owner who pointed out his favourites and told us fascinating stories about some of them, especially those with which he has a personal connection.
My advice is, when you visit, don't just look at the cars, look at the posters on the walls. These will give you the background to the exhibits.
You can easily spend half a day here if you are a classic car enthusiast. The highlight may be if the owner is around and you get to talk with him

When we approached the museum, it looked incredibly small and uninteresting, apart from the Bugatti parked outside. However, when we got in, we were staggerd at the size and the number of vehicles. They had many of my favourites, including Ferrari's, Corvette Stinrays and even a Rolls. We could have stayed there all day. The collection of E-Types made my mouth water. You cannot miss this place and you don't have to be a motorhead to appreciate it.

This is a real hidden gem of a museum with a very reasonable admission fee. We had a really enjoyable visit and were very impressed by the wonderful collection of vehicles and memorabilia that are housed here. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Qawra.

With temperatures reaching 38 degrees we decided to look for some indoor activities and decided to visit the malta classic car museum. 10 euros for adults and kids under 5 went in free. From the entrance you would not think it was a big place but we quickly came across the beautiful classic car collection in the basement. There were also classic telephones, typewriter, radios and tvs. The couple at the entrance were originally from the UK so we had a nice chat. They were very friendly and welcoming and took time out to talk about life in malta.

I have just booked a studio2 plus BB, is there a fridge and kettle in the studio, I upgraded from self catering to BB whilst booking the holiday online. but am bit confused as to the facilities regarding fridge and kettle. thank you for your help. I booked through Monarch Holidays, arriving on 7th June 2016..

Hi, the room we had overlooking the pool area had a fridge but not a kettle. But we always take our travel kettle anyway so did not worry us. We went half board and the meals were ok, so do not read too much into some of the reviews, the hotel is ok.
