Don't be fooled by some photos of baroque interior - peopole mistakenly wrote the reviews and uploaded photos of the St Paul's shipwreck church in Valletta - not in Bugibba. The one in Bugibba is small and not spectacular.

I was interested in learning about what the Maltese may have preserved from the Biblical account of the apostle Paul getting shipwrecked on Malta. I did not learn anything here.
There was a table set up where I was handed an informational sheet about the church building. I did not see anything about Paul. Skip this

My visit was out of season so i was devastated after an hr to find it to discover it wasn't open. 3/3/20.
My visit wasnt in vain as it was nice to sit on steps and take in the views.
Will definitely return to wander inside.

If you are Catholic and would like to live through the bible, read Acts 27 & 28 and then you will value the age of Malta. This Chapel is small and offered mass to all that are interested.

The St.Paul’s Shipwreck Church has a strange name but is one of the most amazing. Hutches in Valletta. Find this and explore - amazing!

Visit every year to pay our respects and light a candle for our loved ones...was sad to see what COVID has done to the congregation

The church seemed so unassuming from the street facade and we even felt the entrance lobby was a bit shabby (what must be ceiling chandeliers were covered in brown sacks), but when you enter the church, you will be gob-smacked. Stunning. In need of some donations to get it all refurbished, but make sure to check out the silver monstances on the second right when you enter the church.

I wandered into this place at random and was confronted with a wealth of artefacts and architecture built on the side of the hill. Some extraordinary silver. And I think some relics. Impressive,
