Good wine, tour and charcuterie to celebrate
Nov 2019
Visited from a tour group, received red carpet treatment until other patrons started to come in. Only one guide, who was very engaging and knowledgable. Winery in converting to organic winery. Beautiful grounds and adjacent hotel. Not sure the average tourist could find this place.

Beautiful venue, wonderful wines, just had a great experience. Plan to go back and spend a couple of weeks in this area and definitely going back to this winery.

Well Worth a Visit
Sep 2019
Our hotel booked this as our intended venue never confirmed our visit. We were very fortunate as they opened up especially, and we had a great guide, Anna.
Clear explanations of grape growing and processing, although pressing takes place at a different location nearby, maturing and storage - really interesting to see.
Then had six wines (white, sparkling and reds) to taste, with cheeses and bread sticks. Again explanations of wines and what to expect were given clearly, and we surprised ourselves by liking wines we initially didn't take to. Not rushed or pushed to make any purchases, but great value (compared to UK), we couldn't resist!
Ended up purchasing wines to be sent home and wines for the rest of our holiday. A great experience; highly recommended.

Excellent tasting, excellent wines
Jul 2019
We visited with a group organised by Titan Travel. We were very well looked after by Silvia who took us on a tour of the winery before providing us with a lovely selection of grisini, three ages of Monte Veronese cheese (excellent - very tasty) and, of course, the wines. My wife considers the Salva Terra Prosecco the best she's ever tasted. The three Valpolicella wines produced here (Classico, Ripasso and Amareno) are all excellent examples of their type, too good, in fact, to resist. Not available currently in the UK Silvia arranged for cases to be sent home to us, shipping costs paid separately to the shipper. The whole experience was excellent - relaxed but efficient. Highly recommended.

Superb Wine and Olive Oil Tasting Tour!
Apr 2019 • Friends
We hired a private car out of Verona to take the four of us wine tasting for the afternoon. We visited SalvaTerra and Silvia was our host. We booked this directly with the winery and it was $25 Euro a person. Silvia did an exceptional job and made the experience so enjoyable. We toured the property and vineyard and she took us into the wine cellars that are on premise. Then we began our wine tasting with a platter of meats, cheeses and bread. She educated us on the Valpolicella wines in that region. We tasted 6 different wines including Amarone. The pours are generous and the wines are excellent. Then, she had us taste two different olive oils. Also, very delicious. You can buy bottles to take with you and they are very reasonably priced.
There is also a beautiful hotel/villa next store call Villa Giona. We arrived early and had a cappuccino there. The grounds of that property are really beautiful.

Wonderful wines and a beautiful place
Jan 2019 • Couples
We went to Salvaterra as part of of a Pagus one day wine tour in Valpolicella. Salvaterra is a gorgeous winery and its grounds are enchanting. Silvia was an amazing host and we tasted thanks to her some incredible wines and oils. We ordered a few, so we'll enjoy a piece of Salvaterra even when we get back home to New York. If you want to have some amazing wines from Valpolicella you cannot miss Salvaterra!

Lovely visit, fantastic wines
Apr 2018 • Solo
I visited Salva Terra doing research in April and plan to bring a tour group in May 2019. I joined a small tasting group that day, toured the vineyard and cantina - with huge barrels! - and sat in their open, airy tasting room. Everything about it was first rate - the estate, the wines, the nibbles that go with it. I brought home a lovely bottle of Amarone and look forward to my return visit.

Great visit

We had a wonderful time visit SalvaTerra. Looking at the wine barrels, wineyard, etc. We got six glasses of wine at the tasting and very tasty cheese, ham, salami. Friendly lady talked about the wines. Lovely experience. A bit difficult to hear what she said sometimes but mostly no problem.

So perfect

Alessandro gave us an incredible tour of the vineyard, carefully explaining different grapes, ways of growing, etc. Then we got to taste different types of wines and cheese. I learned so much. It was amazing!

Gorgeous spot, Easy to get to.
Jun 2018
This nearly two-hour tour was interesting and gave us a lovely couple of hours outside of the city. A short walk through the vineyard, a quick look at the hotel (from the outside), a tour of the cellars and then the tasting. Great guide who spoke very good English and was kind enough to let us attempt our Italian. He was knowledgeable and seemed to obviously enjoy his job. No transfer is included here, but we had a van come get us through info@veronatransfer.com (we were 8 people to get there!): one time, nice van, nice driver, the way to go.
