Me and my boyfriend visited Verona and surroundings a few weeks ago for my 40th birthday. Before going to Italy, I found Laura Cesari and Valpolicella tours here on TripAdvisor and I contacted her about doing a private 2 day wine tour to Valpolicella. She answered very quickly and mentioned that she had two apartments (Wine studio and Wine suite) in Verona close to the arena. The pictures of them looks great so we decided to book a whole week, which in the end was perfect as the apartment was located perfectly for both exploring the city as well as having buses to both Soave and Lake Garda stopping right outside it. Even before coming to Verona, I knew that out stay with Laura would be very memorable as she was providing a lot of good tips for restaurants, booked the wineries we wanted to visit and was always super friendly and quick to answer. We arrived to Verona by train and walked 15 min to the Wine suite apartment where Laura was waiting for us. And what a place! Perfect for us two, but you can stay up to 4 people there - 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a nice kitchen and dining area and then Laura gave us a treat - the roof terrace where we had really nice breakfasts and sunset drinks. Laura's family owned the entire Palazzo and she lived in the apartment right underneath us, which was super convenient. Also, we didn't realize that Laura's family also owned Brigaldara winery, so that was a pleasant surprise! We had two days during the weekend on our own in Verona, where we followed a lot of Laura's great tips on what to see and do. Then we met Laura again Monday morning for the first Valpolicella tour day - Quintarelli in the morning and Brigaldara in the afternoon which were both fantastic experiences. Brigaldara visit were of course very personal and we were super happy! The day after we visited Tommasi and Brunelli. Throughout the days, Laura gave us all the knowledge she had about Valpolicella, the Amarone wines, different valleys. She took us to some amazing villages to visit and fantastic lunch restaurants like Enoteca della Valpolicella, which had one of the best meals we had in Italy. We realized quite quickly the Laura knows everyone in both Valpolicella and Verona, so just mentioning her name opens doors 😄 For example at the Michelin restaurant 12 Apostoli, where I had my birthday dinner, she of course knew the owner and we got a private tour beneath the wine cellar to an excurvated Roman street. On my birthday by the way, Laura baked a fantastic chocolate cake for me and gave me such a nice present. I truly recommend a stay with Laura! Stay for a few days in her apartments (the wine suite was also super nice and can have 4 people) and spend some time with her in Valpolicella or Lake Garda. Verona is a great base for excursion and Laura is a really a fantastic host and guide. Thank you for a truly memorable vacation and birthday!!

For the third time now we booked Valpolicella tours (since 2012). This time to celebrate our 10 year company anniversary. And what a celebration it was ! Laura organized our trip with food-paring & tasting, boat-trip on lake garda, a beautiful hike through the vineyards and if a raft experience in the city of Verona. On top with splendid places for lunch & dinner.
