I brought my three kids (11,9,7) and tent-camped at Nolin Lake State Park. The entire campground is clean and quiet. The camp staff was nice and helpful. The bathhouse had 3 or 4 shower stalls in each bathroom. They were clean by campground standards and...More

Spent quality time on the lake which was like glass. We saw at least 10 blue herons in the lake, and several on land. The temp was great, nobody there this time of year. Had 5 cabins in a row for our group. I would...More

We are from Michigan and have beautiful parks, but the campgrounds are crowded and small sites. We weren't sure when we got on the back roads to Nolin Lake State Park, but what a nice surprise. The sites are big, roomy, level and spaced nicely....More

We were looking for a place to take the kids and get outdoors for a while. The tailwaters under the dam were perfect. There is a nice pavilion and decent playground. But the real attraction is the riverbed. We brought our water shoes and walked...More

The campground has spacious sites, but not all have adequate shade. We stayed in #4 and it was a nice site with privacy and woods behind it but only a couple of trees for shade. If I went back and could not reserve a site...More

We spent time at the spillway for the dam. It is very, very impressive to say the least. The park is well maintained and beautiful. The walkway along the Dam is wonderful. It is worth the trip!

There are lots of well-maintained sites in Nolin's three main campground areas, with clean public restrooms and nicely maintained lawns and shade trees very close to the boatramps and water sites. A nice place for family vacation time.

In that the National Park is open year round I would think that, most likely it SHOULD be. However, IS and SHOULD be can be very different. I'd advise you to view the Mammoth Cave National Park website...if it is not there... More
