This former church houses some interesting art on an unassuming small street right off the plaza. Definitely worth the visit.

No charge to check it out. Beautiful Old Church right on the Main Street of Montefalco. Definitely worth checking out. You only need about 10 minutes to see the whole thing

This is one of those delightful surprises you find exploring small medieval towns in Italy. Our first day in Umbria, staying in Montefalco to explore regional hill towns, I just came upon it and walked in. It is small and charming with lovely old damaged frescos and the remains of old saints - and their stories - that you likely never heard of.

There are many churches in Umbria and this is a pretty, small one, but what distinguishes it are the two mummies on display. One is of a Saint and the other a traveller who died in the church, was buried twice but continued to reappear in the church, so they have kept him here. A bit ghoulish, but fascinating.

A peaceful place to sit and catch your breath in this lovely hilltop town. It is one of the joys of visiting such places that the doors are open to visitors and the buildings are so cool and atmospheric

A must visit to all who go to Montefalco. Mantefalco is somewhwere once visited you feel the need to go back again and again. We hope to go back again soon and maybe try to see it in the winter.

Stunning frescos and most memorably, in the sacristy which a kindly man asked me if I'd like to see and he unlocked the door to a beautiful haven of medieval art.
