Six women friends realized the dream of a week together in an Italian villa in late June 2016. But we hadn't reserved a wine tour in advance and decided quickly that was a huge mistake. One of us did a quick web search and called Gusto Wine Tours. Giselle agreed to send Mark out to pick us up at our... More

A fantastic day trip, Giselle was excellent with communication and even looked up train times to help us to get where we needed to be -as we were staying 2 hours out of the region-. Mark is an exceptional host and his knowledge of local wines was superb! I must say that it was an absolutely top class and value... More

This was a fantastic wine tour! One huge plus is that Mark picks you up right from the hotel and delivers you back home. The entire day is planned and you just sit back and enjoy the day! The wineries we visited were small, family owned in stunning settings with landscapes most tourists dream of seeing. Mark's knowledge of Umbrian... More

Mark came to pick the 3 of us up and take us around 3 cantinas and for a 4 course lunch. His passion and knowledge immediately came through and we soon started learning about the Montefalco region. At each destination we learnt about the wines and there were food pairings with each one. I've never tasted ham like it! One... More

Having spent a hectic week in Rome, a friend and I traveled by train to Assisi, made a phone call on Friday night to Gusto Wine Tours, and at 9:45 on Saturday morning, Mark picked us up near our hotel. We said, "You make all the decisions. We just want to relax and have fun." And we did! It was... More

Mark picked up our party of four and off we went on our adventure to three family run wineries in Montefalco. The families were gracious and welcoming and made us feel like family. The scenery on their land was simply breathtaking and peaceful. Learned so much about the wine making process and how the taste of the different wines changed... More

Mark and Giselle are not only great fun to get plastered with (or rather next to - they drive), they are knowledgeable, organized and reliable, they take you through this magnificent day with calm and serenity, they really take their time for you to enjoy every second of this unique experience and tell you everything there is to know about... Mark is witty and very knowledgeable - he knows the wines of Umbria. He took us to Romanelli just outside Montefalco and we had a great wine tasting starting with a white and working our way towards the Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, before we finished with a sweet Passito. A very good winery, now three of their 2010 Sagrantinos Magnum are... More

We spent a wonderful, rainy June day visiting three local wineries with Mark on a Gusto Wine Tour. Mark is passionate and knowledgeable about Umbrian wines, and every stop was a great surprise. The wineries were varied and hidden away in places the average tourist would never see, and we had the sense of being welcomed visitors everywhere we went.... More

We spent a fantastic day with Mark, visiting three wineries surrounding Montefalco. Our booking was very last minute (6pm the night before) and we were lucky enough to have a private tour just for two of us. Mark is extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Umbrian wines and the wineries themselves were all wonderful - ranging in size and sophistication, which... More
