Took the family here when visiting from out of town. Bow-tie movie land is spacious and fun with many screens showing a good variety of current movies. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere and we certainly recommend this place.

We went to see a movie there Saturday evening. the lobby was over crowded with young people and it was very loud. You had to fight your way through the lobby. All during the movie the noise level from the crowd in the lobby was so loud you could hear it over the movie and was very distracting. There was... More

This theater has 3 sizes of screens from large, to medium ans several that are shotgun long and small. If you have trouble seeing the small theaters will make you miserable. I cannot comfortably see the screen and the screen is small, my TV is almost as big. The staff, although very nice and polite, frequently do not know how... More

The location is great, as it's near downtown and VCU. It's close to several new establised restaraunts. It has been fully renovated and modernised but still retains the charm of an old hostoric buildong - that it is. All the latest popular movies and some independents shown on an adjacent building. Big parking lot but it was still tough to... More

I can't speak for all auditoriums here, but screen 7 should be avoided. The screen is extremely small and the audio is lacking in volume and dynamic range. We saw Rogue One for the third time at this theater and the presentation, compared to screenings at Cinemark and Regal, was disappointing.

I went to the ladies room last night after seeing a movie. Some of the stalls had no toilet paper, others had toilet paper on the floor, some had un flushed toilets, (automatic flush must be not working) and most of the soap dispensers had no soap. I reported this to the manager who showed little interest the rectifying the... More

Prices were reasonable, screens were very good size for multi-plex, but we really loved the use of the old train maintenance building. Kids didn't even notice it but we did.

Just 4 days after opening, Movieland offered Minions practically on the hour. Therefore, it was easy to buy a ticket, get snacks, and find a good seat at the 12:30 show. Ample parking, clean theatre and restrooms, and tasty popcorn made going to Movieland a pleasure.

We went to this theater on a 1/2 off Tuesday--so that could be why the experience was less than amazing. It was awesome to have half-off tickets at night--so that was very cool. The theater was slightly dirty and was hot! The AC was not working or not set to the appropriate temperature. The seats are comfortable and there is... More
