Agecroft is an unusual and sometimes confusing mixture of 15th and 20th century life. Originally built in the 15th C, then transported here. But during the transformation to a Richmond property, much of the building (most notably the ceilings, according to our guide) were redesigned...More

You say that you can't afford a trip to Europe? Well, come here and it's like taking a trip abroad. Not only is the home itself remarkable, so is the story of how it came to Richmond.

The grounds are beautiful. The story of the home being moved from England was very interesting and adds to the story of the house and the family who lived there. We would highly recommend this tour.

This piece of Elizabethan history is gorgeous! I've taken students many times when we're reading Shakespeare. It's like stepping back in time, in England (because that's what it is!). Tours are well-done. Spring is particularly beautiful during tulip season.More
