Heading down or up this shady avenue, you should ride a bicycle. Riding a bike allows you to stop and read each monument in the middle of the avenues. They are large, historic and easy to read.

I lived on Monument Avenue for 12 years. Just a really beautiful Street one of the most interesting in the country. If you can get pass the race issue it is a beautiful walk through history.

We drove down monument avenue and the first thoughts I had were this is a great neighborhood. I could live here. The monuments were impressive as well as the homes here.

If you are visiting Richmond, you need to walk or drive along Monument Avenue. It is a happening place and is famous.

I enjoyed a lovely sunny walk down Monument Avenue on my way to the art gallery. The houses were very grand and lovely blossoms added to the ambience.

Monument Ave is a beautiful street in Richmond,VA that is lined with stately homes and numerous monuments honoring civil war heroes plus Richmond's own Arthur Ashe.
