Of the two locations, this is definitely the better of the two. The splash park is a life saver on hot summer days if you have a kid that NEEDS to run. The musical play stuff in the backyard is great. They'd get five stars from me if they made more frequent changes - even small-ish changes would be good,... More

Have taken 4 different groups to the museum. Educational as well as a fun and safe environment. Digging for bones, fixing cars, shopping climbing, and an art room are just some of the activities that will delight the kids. The kids I have taken have been from 2 - 8 and all were entertained.

There is a lot to do at the Richmond Children's museum (as opposed to their satellite sites). They have exhibits directed at a variety of age groups from young to school age. The last time I went with my 3 year old I had to finally drag him out and he STILL didn't want to leave. I love that they... More

Other Richmond locations are also very well equipped and staffed. Our grandchildren are 18 months and 4 years old.

My daughter and I visited The Children's Museum yesterday with my 6 grandchildren who range in age from 3-9. There was something there for everyone and they had a great time together !!!! They spent the longest amount of time in the "theater" section, dressing up and looking in the mirrors and laughing, but they also loved the "apple tree"... More

So much fun to be had here. Lots of different rooms to play in! Build a car, be on tv, dig for dinosaurs, ride a cow, drive an ambulance- fun fun fun! While there are two other kids museums in Richmond, the one on broad st is best; especially with the bonus of being right next to the science museum.... More

Took the grandkids and had a wonderful time. Each exhibit was interactive and appropriate for all ages. We had as much fun as the kids and could have spent a lot longer there.

My experience of the Children's Museum was diminished by the large crowds. We have been a few times, but it seems we are always there when large groups from schools or day cares are present. For my toddler, it is hard to enjoy everything when the place is so full of kids running around. However, the exhibits are great. They... More

The CMoR format is a winner: variety of play areas (with subtle corporate advertising) in a clean, safe environment. Spoiled this visit by the indifferent attendant in the craft's area.

My girls (7 and 4) has a good time but they were done in less than an hour. They could have a good time at any park playground. The place is small, so toddlers will have a great time there, clean and very educational but again for little kids. $9 adults tickets were a little to much for that little... More
