Our guide Ashton was very personable and educated. He made sure we all knew what we were doing and confident on the Segway before embarking on our journey. My only gripe was that the tour was listed as 2 hours plus 15 minutes of training. In reality, it was 30 minutes of training and only 80 minutes of tour -- at times it felt a bit rushed. But, overall, it was very enjoyable and we'd do it again!

we did the 10am segway tour and our guide (a history student) was very knowledgable and very friendly. we did a brief lesson and then took off through the streets of Richmond. We covered a lot of ground in a short period of time. Better than walking, but you still use your feet to control the segway so wear comfy shoes!! My kids, 16/18, LOVED riding the Segways, as did my husband. I was a little wobbly and slower than most, but they were very patient with me.

My husband and I decided we wanted to take our chances at this experience while visiting Richmond. No regrets! Such a fun and exciting trip. Our guide, Jonathan, was so educated on the sites and a very patient teacher. I was incredibly trepidatious about the Segway myself and he taught me and handled my nervousness the entire time while giving us a custom to our personalities tour.

My family and I took a Segway tour of the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond today. The temperature was over 90 and with the high humidity the heat index was close to 100. The cemetery is not shaded. The two tour guides had water for themselves but not for the customers. About an hour into the trip, my brother-in-law fainted from heat and dehydration. Neither of the guides had any idea how to handle a medical emergency. Another person in the group finally called 911. If it had been a heart attack he would have died. In this type of service the guides should be well versed in medical emergencies and should be trained in CPR. This was my third tour with them. It will be my last.

We were first timers on a Segway, and I have to say I was petrified at first (Richmond is a city of hills). But our guide Andrew was awesome. He taught us how to use the Segway and then we practiced a bit before our tour. I have lived in Richmond all my life and Andrew made the tour very informative and FUN. We want to sign up for more!
Tip: if you volunteer first for the training, you have a longer time to practice :)

My parents were visiting Richmond for the first time and we figured this would be a fun way to explore the city. It was a fun learning experience and the segways made for a fun, unique and memorable day!

We had a great time on our Segway tour of Nice! We saw a little bit inside the old city, and then spent some time on the promenade. We went up to the top of Castle Hill and got to take in some of the views up there, including the waterfall. Cyril was a great guide. My only suggestion would be to allow for more time at the top of Castle Hill so we could explore a little bit more.

My wife and I took the Richmond Landmark Segway Tour. I highly recommend it. You get a great tour of the major sites in the city, and it is a great way for you to start your time in Richmond. Don't miss out, take this tour.

The tour itself was amazing! Our tour guide (Jonathan) was very knowledgeable about each historic site that we visited. The Segway will make you nervous at first; after a few practice attempts, you’ll become an expert. The overall experience was unique and I would definitely do it again.

Just as a helpful tip- please dress for the weather, the wind from being on the Segway paired with the natural elements makes for a chilly, chilly day. 😄

The staff was excellent, the guide did a great job of getting everybody up to speed on the Segways & explaining the landmarks.

While the tour was interesting and it's always fun to ride a Segway, we just expected to see more history in a city like Richmond. I'd still recommend the tour because you still cover more ground than you would in a car, but don't expect it to rival something like DC.
