This magnificent, beautiful museum is open to all at no cost. The current Napoleon exhibition does require tickets, but it is well worth the modest cost. It is fascinating and timely. Go!

An excellent exhibit, well planned out and informative. The posted information is very detailed so I don't think a guided tour is necessary. I particularly was intrigued by the information on how Napoleon built his image and moved people from a Republic to an Empire....More

Not sure about the open time. It should be posted on the web site. We had tickets during the week when they were not busy and they allowed us to go in early.

We were able to enter the exhibit 30 minutes before our set time so I doubt I would be a problem.

I would give it at least an hour. If you have a particular interest in the other items, such as the gold and other jewelry, household furnishing, etc., plan on longer.
