The facility is clean and the staff were great! My chief complaint is the chairs in the convention hall. They are narrow, so much so that you almost are sitting in your neighbor’s lap. Worse than this that they are incredibly uncomfortable!! When attending a conference or convention there is a lot of sitting involved but when the seats are very uncomfortable it becomes such a distraction that it is hard to pay attention and participate.

Visiting Richmond and with little idea what to do or where to go, we located the visitor center. The attendant, Tom was very helpful. He supplied us with a map of the area, marked the places of interest, gave us additional information on the historic sites, drew walking directions on the map and directed us to free parking. We used the map for the three days of our visit and it saved us time and effort. Thanks Tom for all your help. You made our visit so much more enjoyable.

Large area with great rooms for seminars. The presentation was wonderful and easy to find. All workers at the convention center were friendly and helpful.

It's a nice Convention Center for a tiny town like Richmond. I always go here at LEAST once a year, and it is really cool. TO get from the parking garage to the building, you have to go through a glass hallway which my kid thinks is cool. There is one room that is enormous and has a food court on a wall and a stage. They always have an Indian Festival here and other things.

We were here for a volleyball tournament. The courts were well organized with quite a bit of seating, considering there were over thirty courts packed into the facility! There were many bathrooms as well as food stations.

This is a very nice conference center. It is big and the people are friendly. I'd come back again to this conference center.

Old arena and the bathrooms should have been cleaned more frequently. Over all we had a great experience

Attended a Junior Classical League convention at the GRCC. It was well-staffed, the food court, although pricey, had good food, and ample space for lots of people. The banquet room was well-suited to our Roman Dinner party, and the food was fantastic. A great place for a convention, easy to get to, and is very close to two hotels. Overall would highly recommend attending or hosting a convention here.

The spaces are big and the parking is ok, but don't bother leaving to find a fun and cool area right outside the door! Broad St is SHADY and the storefront areas are just as scary! Stick to the hotels and convention center for the over priced food... Bathrooms were poorly maintained and dirty!

VCU graduation is at 6:00 pm. If we arrive at 3:30 will I be able to find a parking spot close by? I will have my 87 year old mother with me and would like to minimize the walking. Also, will there be food sold inside near Exhibit Hall A?

Dear Jones family,
I'd like to apologize for not getting back to you with a response prior to the graduation ceremony. We are new to TripAdvisor and are not used to receiving notices and feedback with this tool. We will do a much better job of monitoring this site moving forward. I'm sure it was very busy downtown, but I certainly hope you had a wonderful time celebrating with your graduate this past weekend.
All the best!
