As a bridge, it has no great feature other than the richness of the Civil War history. Plenty of reading materials for visitors to read. Visitors can walk across James River and view the skyscrapers of Richmond and the many features of the James River....More

The city of Richmond VA Planning and Development lighting division should be fired and replaced with people who understand quality lighting. The lights they select are cheap and not intended for commercial use. I'm am left wondering if the lights they purchase for pedestrian bridges...More

Dedicated in December, 2016, the T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge has become a familiar and favorite spot for downtown walkers and bikers. It is nearly a third of a mile long and is only about 20 feet above the water. Great views of the city....More

A great way to see more of Richmond by crossing the James from Brown Island. Don't forget when walking it to read all of the quotes from famous people during the Civil War. Once crossing the James they've even made the other side very neatly...More

Although not really a destination in itself, it's a nice finale to visiting the Civil War Museum. The bridge offers very scenic views of the James River and its' magnificent rapids.
