I stumbled on this suspension bridge quite by accident (coming out of the American Civil War Museum). Not sure why it isn't on the top 10 things to do in Richmond. It is amazing!

Worth the visit if you like parks, nature and history. We were lucky to have a beautiful day. The bridge walk was very cool. Richmond residents are lucky to have this park in their backyard!

Easy walk or bike ride, lots of dogs, awesome views including hollywood cemetery. It's a great place to bring people from out of town.

Even if the history of Belle Isle wasn’t interesting walking the bridge over the river is worth the trip. We didn’t visit the entire island but what we did see was worth the trip over. The site of the prison camp is quite unbelievably small...More
