La Pelosa Beach
La Pelosa Beach

About
La Pelosa is an excellent beach for swimming. Its clear, tranquil waters stay at knee height a far way out from shore. The waters are perfect for windsurfing and kite surfing, too, when the wind gets going. Either way, be sure to watch out for jellyfish and sharp rocks. Get to La Pelosa early in the day as it’s bound to get crowded. You’ll need to book ahead for ticketed access to the beach in the warmer months. Get the bus from Stintino village, or book a boat tour to soak in the views from out on the water.

- Laetitia P.Acheres, France99 contributionsMagnificent beach!!!To die for, magnificent beach with lots of locals, free in April out of season, no depth for several meters. extra fine sand. Just a downside, presence of small jellyfish. Be sure to bring a beach mat; there are agents who will monitor you to avoid leaving with sand.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 14, 2024
- Diletta O5 contributionsJust wonderful!Stunning sea, Caribbean... the water is several meters low, we booked the day before from the official website paying 3.50 per person. There were people but not excessively (we were there in the first days of June) when we got there the parking is paid at 1.50 per hour, there are traffic assistants who will issue you a receipt if you have cash or the machines but they work only if you pay by card... after parking you have to go to the info point set up to check the booking QR code and then they make you wear a bracelet... included in the booking price are bathrooms and cold showers (but they cannot be used soaps) we bought the mats (mandatory) in the village where we were staying for €5 but they eventually sell them there where they check the reservations for €6 (the inspectors continually pass by for the mats, but they are kind enough, because a boy who doesn't 'he was not immediately fined but asked to remove the towel, drain it and go buy a mat if he wanted to stay... near the beach there is a bar and a restaurant (which they advised us against) we went to eat and moved 4 minutes with the car to the restaurant at anchor… we had a great time!!!Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 6, 2024
- andreaBruino, Italy2 contributionsA postcardBreathtaking beach. Of course there are rules to follow and those who complain (as I read from some previous reviews) don't understand that if we end up having to put them in place it's to preserve the beach itself. Rather than advising people not to go, people should inform themselves and be prepared by bringing their own mats. They are probably the same people who take home a bottle of sand because "it hurts so much". Keep ignorant people away from this beachVisited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 10, 2024
- Simonetta PProvince of Treviso, Italy68 contributionsInto the deepest blueWonderful sand and water. But arriving at the end of the access walkway, being told that you have to register and book, returning to the pits on the road and queuing for registration is not exactly the best. Ok, you pay for access, you can fit in for this rare pearl, but do you make a unique point? Or report it well beforehand? Also because what if one first pays for the very high parking fee and then hears that there is no space on the beach?Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 12, 2024
- Mireille R2 contributionsHonestly there are betterYou have to book at least two days before going there 3.50/pers and max 4 people/reservation. The beach is magnificent but crowded with people. We went there in June I can't even imagine in July and August. If you take a micro fiber towel, no need for beach mats to put underneath. Parking for 5 hours, €7.50 is not cheap. Honestly there are a lot of beaches in Sardinia that are free and not screened everywhere. Tourist trap.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 19, 2024
- LuitAvellino, Italy662 contributionsSea from 10, too many people from 3!Clear water despite a flood of people. There is no beach but the cooperative that manages umbrellas and sunbeds (35 € 1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds) and you book entrance to the beach (both equipped and free (with obligation of mats)) at a cost of 3.50 € per person. We were able to enter even without reservation because there was still room at the pseudo lido and we were still charged the reservation of 3.50 € px. Paid parking along the road with traffic auxiliaries always present. Despite being limited in number, too overcrowded with umbrellas too close. The sea, however, is a lovely blue. There is only a small bar, better bring food from home.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 28, 2024
- Carmen L8 contributionsUnique coloursBeach by reservation through a special, every day h 8 open 200 places for the following 48 h, do it now. H 8.05 seats are already sold out. The alternative is to rent sunbeds and umbrellas in the beach establishment, about 45 euros per day. Parking 2.50 /h, if you arrive by 10 am there are still places, maybe not nearby. Need towel not terry, mat or microfiber is fine. Very nice beach, breezy. Unique colors. Unfortunately there are still those who use the towel and those who enter from the sides by positioning themselves on the beach without reservation. They're mostly on both sides of the beach, but I've also seen them downtown We poor fools instead booked, paid and queued up to wear the identification bracelet. Ridiculous controllers came by, they were looking at people and saying, this one doesn't have a bracelet... So if you can't book, know that with a little bit of mindfulness there are those who come in anyway.Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 7, 2024
- Erika CArezzo, Italy86 contributionsOvviamente meravigliosa! The beach is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. The sea is truly indescribable and the sand looks like flour. Everything extremely clean. There is unfortunately, or fortunately, the obligation to book with limited admission. We were unable to book and so went there at 6pm (when you can enter freely) after spending the morning and part of the afternoon at another beach. Considering that we are in early July I can say that I made the right choice, at 18.00 the sun is still very high, it is still hot and the bath is great! By doing so we managed to find parking and not have too much chaos around. Even if people were there and not a little. Needless to say, if you stay here a bath or a day at La Pelosa is a must!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 7, 2024
- GiuseppeCampania, Italy138 contributionsFantastic beachI visited beaches in Greece (balos, Elafonisi) , the Seychelles (Anse Lazio) and many others, I can say that the Hairy has a beautifully colored sea, a blue with shaded chrome, and very fine white sand. There are people definitely, just get off early (by 9 am) and position yourself at your best. If you can't book, you can still get off to swim and walk ashore. More than a stop definitely deserves it.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 8, 2024

La Pelosa a small beach, very crowded in the summer months, by Reservation but that will leave you speechless. An open-air swimming pool. Transparent and calm sea. Recommendation, for those who can, to admire it in all its beauty to go in spring or early autumn so there are far fewer people. Paid parking caretto along the entire area. If you want to make a quick pass go early in the morning before 8am or after 6pm that entrance to the beach is free.

La Pelosa di Stintino certainly does not deserve any introduction given that its transparent and emerald water is considered among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, however some considerations are necessary. In summer, access to this small beach is limited and reservations via the app open 48 hours before the chosen day and sell out within a matter of minutes. The entry price is 3.5 euros per person. person. The beach has an area occupied by a bathing establishment and two free beach areas where you can plant an umbrella and spread out mats, but towels are prohibited. Given the high turnout, the free beach quickly becomes overcrowded, making the experience a little less beautiful than expected, so go prepared; Nonetheless, swimming in La Pelosa is perhaps one of the most beautiful experiences that Sardinia can offer.

Very famous beach whose beauty is not disputed: not only the seabed, but it is the whole frame with Piana island, the Asinara and the Pelosa tower. Of course behind, unfortunately, in addition to the road there are countless houses that spoil the atmosphere a bit.
Useful tips: access is limited to 800 places that can be booked well in advance and another 800 that can be booked from 8:00 in the morning two days in advance. WARNING: places end within 1 minute, so get ready with the page where you have to register and speed in clicking and... good luck! To park easily better to arrive by 9:30 so as to be close to the accesses to the beach where you enter once you have checked in in the appropriate boxes.
left side of the most beautiful beach, but then crowded, in the center part of equipped beach, 45,00€ 2 sunbeds and umbrella for a day, on the right side more space and snack bar.
IMPORTANT: to put the towel on the sand you need to first spread a mat that you can buy in supermarkets or bazaars, or from the street vendors at the entrance of the street with parking lots at a cost of € 6.00.
If you can not book but still want to do enough to Pelosa you can get there by sea from Pelosetta or wait until 18:00 to access freely!

Our "visit" takes place on October 27, the weather is cool and the wind is blowing, the tourists have deserted the island, most of the stores and restaurants have closed their curtains for the winter, and the beaches are deserted at a loss. view. Since we are staying in the region and all the tourist guides talk about what is "the most beautiful beach" on the island, we decide to spend the day in La Pelosa. Paid parking: ok, why not, we are not against measures to promote smoother mobility, we pay without flinching, all under the scrutinizing eye of 4 people in official uniforms and bibs stationed a few meters from the parking meter (we already feels observed, it gives a glimpse of the atmosphere that is to come!) Small contribution for those who hope not to pay: the rounds are continuous to impose fines (including when we were the only car far away in the round ...)
We then see a few tourists lining up at what seems to be an official “stand”. We get closer and discover that there is a fee for the beach... Yes, yes, on October 27, when it is gray and there is hardly anyone there, we will have to open our wallets again. 3.50 euros, including for our teenagers... it's slowly starting to hurt to go to a beach when the weather is lousy, the wind is ready to dehorn the oxen and we know that our bath of sea will probably not last more than 10 minutes, given the water temperature...
We then learn, from the people in front of us, that it is forbidden to put your laundry directly on the sand (!), that you need a mat... And then we almost choke. You will still have to, after spending a small fortune, buy/rent a mat.
And always these “officials” who scrutinize our slightest movement (logical, we are one of their only attractions of the day)...
A look at the website tells us that it is preferable to book in advance, but in this case, it is not possible to book for more than 4 people (which automatically excludes families numerous!), family members must arrive at the same time, you must present a QR code to the lady who walks 100 steps on the beach (yes, yes, even at the end of October, when there are almost no person).
I would like quotas to be introduced in July-August, thus combating mass tourism, but seriously, until October 31??
We hit the road again, too bad for the paid parking, and went to visit other beautiful heavenly and especially desert beaches on this gray and windy October 27th.

I would say that the future of La Pelosa will be that of the tourist for whom the healthy principles of nature, the sea and of course the beaches matter little.
Apart from this I want to open the eyes of those who want to go there, to the ordeal to which
will have to submit. So, in order to access it you must be ready on the launch pad at 8.00 am with a mobile phone connected to the relevant site. Know that he will tell you 99.9%) that the available places are already sold out at 8.01 am. However, in the very unlikely event that you manage to book, you will have to move on to phase 2 which is incredible. Ok, let's start by paying for the entrance online (I imagine the elderly not used to online payments) then you will queue, then they will put a bracelet on you (because they will pass the checks during the day maybe next year there will be snipers or drones 😄) then yes
switch to the towel 😳 which if made of terry will have to be accompanied by a special mat to put underneath instead, if made of micro fiber you are exempt from the mat obligation 😅 . The mat is used to ensure that you don't have sand left in your towel 👌... then it doesn't matter if you go out after 6pm with your slippers and your skin full of sand, I say after 6pm because at that time they turn off the special taps for rinsing away the precious sand 😂. Then there is the question of obviously paid parking at only €2.00 per hour 😳 be prepared to park very far away as places are nowhere to be found.
This is more or less the circle of hell that you will have to undergo to access a beautiful beach but it is still packed with people beyond belief with obviously zero privacy, screaming people, rackets, balls, music etc etc. Lastly, if you want to avoid the agony of booking, there will be no problems 😉 just pay and you will magically have a sunbed and umbrella 😄.
I close by saying that if we really wanted to preserve this magical beach we should perhaps close access for years, as was done for Asinara. Luckily I heard a lot of people, especially Sardinians, say...La Pelosa? but let them keep it!!!

Splendid beach with FREE admission possible ALL DAY! Just go to the entrance and say you want to go to the free part (area where there are the rocks on the right when you enter). You will have access to the same swimming area as the people who pay!! Simply instead of placing your towel on the paid sandy area you must place it on the rocky / sandy area, which remains pleasant, you can put your umbrella and lie down quietly.
No need to pay admission, nor the beach mat that is to be put under his towel obligatorily (you can buy one on site) when you are installed in the paid zone.
If you still want to reserve your entrance to settle on the sand: there is a quota. Reservation is open 72 hours in advance on the site (800 places available). It is absolutely necessary to connect on the day of the opening of the reservations, at 8h pile because at 8h01 there is no place and even at 8h00 the site crashes because too many people connected .. There are also a number of other seats that can be purchased much more in advance (months in advance if you wish), see details on the site.
For parking there is one free on Via Capo Falcone ^^ it is 6-7min walk from the main entrance to the beach. Otherwise, the parking in front of the beach is 2€/h and they check all day (watch out for fines)...
Finally, the paid area of the beach becomes free from 6pm and the paid parking in front of the beach becomes free from 8pm.

Superb Sardinian beach, probably one of the most beautiful of our stay. I read bcp reviews about this beach, the world, the Reservation Award, parking...
In short, considering the comments and advice, I took precautions because I really wanted to see this beach (advised by a Sardinian friend) and I was not disappointed. Obviously, these tips are for those who do not want to pancake on the beach all day (I get tired of this activity quite quickly!). So we arrived at 6pm. We found space a little at the top of the official parking (parallel road), authorized and free place. We went back to the beach without paying because after 6pm it is free. Yes there are a few people (we are part of this mass tourism that we criticize, do not be fooled!) but very far from the overpopulation described in the comments and it is July 25th! We were able to put our towels (no need for mats - to believe that after 6pm, the sand is in "self-service"!) away from umbrellas and other towels. There was room, quite a lot of room even! We bathed without problem. The sea was warm (it heats up all day) and we stayed 2 hours in the water seeing the fish (take masks!), swimming and playing. So we didn't pay anything, enjoyed a great time without stress and left full of memories (and sand on our feet that we tried to make go as well as possible because the showers worked very badly).
So sincerely, for those who just want to have a little fun and enjoy amazing water and scenery, go after 6pm without hesitation.
This beach is definitely worth a visit.

one of the most famous beaches in northern Sardinia... and it fits everything.
Always very nice and a few years for a fee ... but it fits, at least you can stay and there are not too many people
Recommendation 1: book at least 5 days in advance
Recommendation 2: Usually after 4pm they no longer look at reservations

Often the photos do not correspond to reality, in the sense that they exaggerate expectations. In this case they are even worse than reality. A beach and a PARADISE water. It is accessed by online Reservation, otherwise you can stop freely on the rocks, and then on the dry bath. Once you have made your Reservation, you must pick up your wristband at the appropriate kiosks. There is also the possibility to rent sunbeds, umbrellas, pedal boats at obviously not popular prices, but the place is worth them all. Under the towels it is mandatory to put the mats, if you do not have them, they will make you buy the security that runs on the beach and makes sure you have the bracelet and the mat. To tell the truth, he might be more present. You can only smoke in the designated spaces, which I agree with, since very few take away the butts. There is also a kiosk/bar at average prices. Along the road there are paid parking lots, 2 euros per hour. Recommendation not to arrive late, to avoid putting the car away. If you are in the area, come and see one of the most beautiful beaches you have ever seen.

The beach is absoukteky breathtaking! The crystal blue water against the mountains and rocks makes for glorious backdrop with many photo opportunities. If you go and climb a short pathway down to the beach to the left, there are no mats required nor payment. The beach does get very crowded so arrive early. The resturant there on the beach is amazing with beautiful views and delicious food! The experience that left us very frustrated and unhappy is that we paid to park 9 Euros (by license plate) and because we took the pay stub with us and did not place it on the windshield, they fined us!! The parking attendants were rude and insistent even though I had paid until 17:45 (5:45pm) and we left at 16:00l (4:00pm) and had my pay stub to prove it… I was forced to pay 15 more Euros on the spot or 20 Euros by mail. They do not know how to be polite, they yell and certainly take advantage of travelers. No where on the ticket does it say to place the stub on your windshield!! So if you go … don’t fall into their tourist trap!
