Just once, I'm going to go against the previous rave comments...
Maybe because we went in October? I should point out that it was a beautiful day and that it was still 29°C... Parking is apparently free this season (in any case we didn't find a parking meter...)
What can I say... maybe in summer it's incredible, but in October, it's simply to be avoided... Mountains of algae on this beach of mini gravel as white as rice (certainly pretty and fun, but who likes having tiny gravel between their toes? Even in the summer?) The water is indeed crystal clear. When it's windy, it's a real paradise for kitesurfers...but the panorama of factories and wind turbines in the background reminds us that this is not the real paradise! U-turn for us!

After seeing that spiaggia pelosetta was horribly crowded, we tried this one. It was empty but all covered by dead algae which is not a problem even when it didn't look like in the pictures.
But, the most important fact is that there is a port or a factory at the end of the beach and because of that, I doubt that the water would be clean.
Also, very accessible. If you want lonely (virgin) beaches, you have to look for the ones less accessible/commercial (without restaurants).

Water show! The seabed doesn't drop right away.
When you enter the water it feels like being in a pool!
The beach is not very wide but it is long, made of small quartz pebbles. When you enter the water the bottom is sandy.
The prices of the bar seemed honest and not exaggerated.
Parking a few steps from the beach, free.
Recommendation really!

Long and narrow beach below Stintino, extension of Ezzi Mannu and the Pazzona to the north.
The beach is small white pebbles, while the bottom is shallow and white sand. Beautiful colors, well sheltered from the winds of the west quadrants. Ample free parking, multiple accesses to the beach allow you to find your own space along the beach which is quite narrow. Facilities present with a bar offering cafeteria and lunch, the establishment closes at 19 and the bar accordingly.
A warning: if you use Google maps as a navigator, be careful to select the right Le Saline beach, because the navigator as the first option indicates a stretch of Ezzi Mannu beach!

From Alghero visited this beach, for which an hour driven. Very large beach with ample parking spaces. Parking is free here.
Unfortunately a lot of algae, so the beautiful blue water could hardly be seen. When you got out of the water you were covered in algae up to your waist, lots of wind and high waves. Had a nice day, but definitely not worth driving an hour for

The beach is a long strip of white pebbles with various pirate spotting towers every now and then and salt-farms behind. The only reason, in my opinion, this is not a dream-beach are the mounds of dead posidonia (algae) on the shore and the fact that most of the historical buildings are not just in ruins(which would be ok) or restored (which would be better), but badly walled by recent but abandoned fences. Water is crystal clear and full of life. There is also a submerged stone pier. There are a couple of bars and beach resorts but most of the beach is free, which we enjoied very much.

This is was a very easy beach to park and access (which is always a plus).
It is a clearly salty area, hence the name and the peculiar smell, the water was with a typical crystal clear Water in a sandy beach. The beach in July was not overly busy, and it was nice to see and swim around a historical rock, which is makes a pretty unique beach. A must visit!

we went to this beach for a sunset swim. the salt plane was really beautiful, with all the colors of the sunset. we did not see flamencos, which was a pity. but the swim was really nice. clear water, perfect to see the fish with goggles.

When Pelosa got too crowded, we decided to visit a newrby beach hoping to find same water and sand. What a mistake... any other nearby beach is soo windy that only surfers and kiters can enjoy it, very dirty because of the sea grass, so i dont recommend it at all.
