Gorgeous village
Aug 2020 • Couples
Didn’t see the market as I believe it’s only on Thursdays but the town itself is beautiful. Only very small but so picturesque with the mountains behind, lovely flower covered houses. We were passing through and so glad we stopped

Busy but boring
Sep 2019
Not much of a market really.....too many clothes and duplicated stalls.
All quite pricey and typical of a "grockle trap"
The village is lovely but the market isn't.

A crowded pleasure
Sep 2019 • Couples
Have been many times. It is always very difficult to park and getting to the point of impossible so expect a long walk or be patient. Wonder when a park and ride will be thought if to relieve the congestion of the one main road through the village as this would benefit local residents, traders and prospective purchasers/tourists. However apart from that it is always a pleasure to visit this very tiny market and to eat/drink at the little cafes.

Nothing special. Tourist trap.
Aug 2019 • Couples
Very busy market aimed at tourists. It’s so busy that it’s not nice to walk around. They sell fruit, cheese, honey, meat and cheap jewelry and clothes for very high prices. Parking is a nightmare.

Busy market, nothing extraordinary, just crowded place with very expensive things, all kind of things tourist targeted.
Parking is a hassle, have to be very lucky to find one near ...

Lovely market, beautiful village
Jul 2019 • Couples
Lovely market here and it’s in a beautiful setting. It’s quite expensive for what they have, lots of cashmere and fur, honey, food etc. Its aimed at tourists, but is nice for a morning out. It was very busy when we visited, and was very hot!

Small market but aimed at tourists
Sep 2018 • Couples
Came here as we saw on different websites the market in San Pantaleo was worth the visit. It is indeed a nice small market, but the only food that was sold here was honey and nothing else. No fruit, no cheese, and we were hoping to see and taste some of the local market food. A lot of clothes and tourist stuff is sold here but nothing special.
Worth the visit if you the local market atmosphere, but not for buying something special.

Typical market
Sep 2018 • Friends
Our hotel guided us here, it was packed the day we visited and just managed to get a parking space. Not really sure that it was worth the bother though, we bought some local salami which my husband says is delicious and our friends bought fruit, apart from that it was same old, same old.

A typical European Market
Jun 2018 • Couples
A typical European Market, with lots of stalls, selling many clothes, a few cheese stalls and a couple of veg stalls. But it is VAST. We were staying in the village, but parking was all down the roads into the village.

Quick Market Trip

After spending a few lazy days at the beach, decided to check this quaint town & market out, after hearing about it from a friend. If you can brave the cars, buses, search for parking and the many tourists that have descended upon this spot, it’s worth a look. Be prepared to pay high prices for the many beautiful clothing items, some crafted locally, others imported from places like Thailand & India, a bit disappointing. Did pick up some lovely aged Pecorino at one of the stalls though for an apperativo later in the day. Happy we checked it out.
