sa colonia beach is the first of four beaches on the costa del sud , which are strung together like pearls on a chain. the other ones named monte gogoni, campana dune and campana.
sa colonia beach is a big whide beach with a typical lagoon in the back in which flamingos nisting.
the beach is well sign posted and we arrived there in an hot and sunny afternoon and there were not so many vivitors around as we thought. the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. the water was crystalclear and offered every type of blue and we had a lot of fun to swim and splash there.
there are no natural shadow zones at the beach and it is absolutely neccessary to have a parasol an sun protection in the beach luggage. there are two beachbars on the area, about the prices we cannot give any information.
we can recomment sa colonia beach very much. we had a perfect stay there.

Beautiful beach in southern Sardinia, white soft sand, crystal clear water, safe for swimming, children.
We have being going to this beach for many years.
It could use some washrooms, showers or at least water tap to rinse feet on a way to the car.
Unpaved parking lot € 5.00 day.

We spent a week at the hotel. There were the beach and hotel described enough already. Shortly- really perfect meal, not the best but suitable accommodation, small but nice sand beach. For this I have no problem to give very high rate.
But - be careful in case af All Incusive stay.
You are there a guest of 2nd category. There are 2 sorts of drinks e.g. coffe "all inclusive" is terrible. But you are informed, that if you want to have a good coffee we should buy it. In such case they use another coffee machine and the coffee is OK. It was not only about the drinks but the staff and his behaver to the All Inclusive" guests was absolutely clumsy.
I would never buy All Inclusive in this resort anymore.

The is not much to say. Beautiful water, nice soft sand, no crowds and facilities such as washrooms and a snack bar. A great place to read a book, listen to the waves and have a nap. In mid-May the water is freezing but you can force a swim in.

The beach seems nice but the kiosk ‘sa colonia’ in the middle completely ruined the experience. 30euros for two sun beds is bad enough (its 15 in Poetto, and 18 in Costa Rei) but then having to pay to use the toilets on top is adding insult to injury. The incredibly rude proprietor basically shrugged and told us to do one. Coffee comes from a machine, sandwiches from a packet. Best to avoid.

This lovely beach was within walking distance of our hotel. In April, we had it entirely to ourselves. The sand is lovely and the scenery spectacular. A path leads from the beach through wildflowers and scrub up to the Spanish watchtower on a hill overlooking the beach. It is a perfect location for a romantic stroll. On the other side of the hill is yet another beach, and one can see the ruins of the Phoenician city of Bithia below the tower on the far side of the hill. Worth a visit!

White sand, crystal clear water and very few tourists. Perfect spot for small children to play around ... shallow water. Small beaches and coves nearby in walking distance...just beautiful. Highly recommended.

We were there in late October and spent the day on the beach...surprisingly for this time of year we were able to hire beach lounges and buy coffee etc . The beach would be a mad house during Summer , but at this time of the year it was more or less deserted and the water was still warmish , one could walk 75 metres out and still be able to stand a good beach for families. Wonderful golden sand and equal to any of the Cala's we saw around Cala Gonone.
