Whistler didn't live long in this Lowell house of his birth. Also, the house museum has only one room devoted to Whistler's art (his prints). However, the substantial collection of art that adorns the house walls is well worth a visit. Thankfully, I contracted for...More

Whistler was born in this house. Nice to see a great old house and the art collection displayed through out. Art from Whistler himself is minimal and mainly drawings/etchings but the other paintings are excellent and worth seeing. Interesting to learn about other artists during...More

A very well maintained old house with an added art gallery museum attached to the side rear. Check on hours as they are limited. Of course the original Whistler's mother painting isn't there. It's in the Louvre in Pais, France
