You wouldn't normally think of a cemetery as a calming locale, but this one is. The winding access lanes are bordered with seasonal plantings and established trees, primarily maples.

This cemetery has the most unique and beautiful monuments. You can even take a historical tour and learn about the stories behind some of the unique stones. The co-creator Moxie is buried here.

If you enjoy seeing monuments and going to beautiful cemeteries (there are some of you out there, like me), look no further. This special place shows how much money, influence and history the city had in its heyday. The monuments are spectacular. I would compare this to the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge any day of the week. Just go... More

Yesterday we did a guided walking tour in the beautiful weather; Very historical place in the National Historic Register; lots of very prominent and interesting people buried here; Some very interesting and artfully done monuments; If you drink Moxie, you'll be pleased to discover that the inventor of such is laid to rest here.
