By fleecing customers, they have lost the dignity of Sardinian villages. Dirt and disorder reign. They have one of the most beautiful roads in Italy (the Bosa Alghero) and, having returned after 20 years, it has even more potholes and dirt, you need an off-road vehicle to avoid breaking the shock absorbers. To the Bosans I say: take a tour of the villages inland and in Gallura and so you understand what the pride and ability of the Sardinians means. Don't tell me there isn't the money because in Sardinia they finance almost everything, but you have to work and get busy.

Don’t bother looks good for a photo the rest is terrible. Over priced sub par quality tourist trap. Once you have walked around the town in half a day there is nothing else to do except be ripped off.

4 euros for a small beer for the tourists cheaper for the locals head outside the town towards the marina local bars charge 3 for a large beer.

Sandwiches you are looking at 6-7 euros on stale bread. I got stung in don Carlos a poke bowl sandwich and a beer 23 euros! The sandwich was on stale bread the beer was crap and the poke bowl was a small bowl of white rice with a leaf of lettuce slice of a Avacado 2 cherry tomatoes and quarter can of tuna!!

Redeeming place there are 2 or 3 nice places to eat and drink wine the best being Locande do Corte food and service worth paying for!

The rest don’t even bother do a day trip find somewhere else one of the worst places in the med with dishonest locals increasing prices for foreigners in some places.

By parking in the Sas Conzas district, where the tanneries were, you arrive via a bridge giving a beautiful view of the entire village dominated by the castle. You have to climb the winding and narrow streets to the castle. We discover women there making basketry or lace.

A beautiful old town to wander about and absorb a bit of its magic. We stayed for 5 days and didn’t tire of wandering the streets, looking at the colourful old houses with their imaginative displays of plants. It was lovely to observe neighbours and communities coming together in ways reminiscent of a bygone era. I can imagine that in some years all this will be changed, replaced by an old town full of tourist dwellings. So pleased I saw it now.

Road and infrastructure at the western part of Sardinia seems post WWII. The evidence shows that roads haven't been renovated nor maintained in many years. As a consequence travel between Alghero to Bosa is tedious and even risky.

Bosa's Center is far from being vivid as some tourist guides ( as the one we followed ) state. Instead, we found a very poor variety of stands or shops and a couple of cliche restaurants.

If you're really bored and need to burn a day on the road go for it, otherwise - better you spend another day at Alghero's old city then on Bosa.

Cozy with a small market.
Different colored houses in narrow alleys.
Walked to the harbor and ate at a nice seaside restaurant called Galeone.
Visiting Bosa was nice, but you don't need that many hours to walk around there
Take the bus from Alhgero bus station and ride the beautiful coastal road with nice views. Cost about SEK 180 for 2 people. Well worth it

Great old town with tall stone buildings and lovely stone flagged streets. There are great bars and cafes and one could easily believe being in Italy a hundred years ago. A relaxed and friendly way of life, with simple produce and locally farmed wine. The town is on a wide river with moorings and no more than 2 miles away are wonderful beaches. Great cafes also. Very friendly local people. Could be a little quiet for younger people.

Free parking in front of the bridge.
Delicious lunch, visited shops, ate ice cream.
It's beautiful here!
Indeed, the beautiful colored houses make it look like cinque terre.
But quiet and relaxed, just like the rest of the island.
Took a beautiful family photo here, clicked on Hallmark photo card. The next day grandpa and grandma are happy with an original photo postcard.

Gorgeous town, spent a few hours getting lost down the pretty streets with their beautiful doors and flowers all over.
The main cobbled street is lovely, great places to eat and drink then amazing windy small streets up to the castle that’s at the top with great views all over.
Be sure to cross over the bridge out of the main town to get the great views of the multi colour houses going up the bank

After seeing it all head to Porto ferro beach about 30 mins north to cool over it’s a lovely sandy beach with good waves

A small nice and cozy town but slightly above recommended, nice market but mostly cheese, sausages and clothes. Good food in the center at reasonable prices. The best experience was driving a car from Alghero to Bosa, fantastic road but a wonderful view.
