We came here in a bit of a whim but were really glad we did because it’s beautiful. The beach isn’t all that to be honest but the old town and sea front walks more than made up for that
Really easy to get to in the train as well

Trani old town is a gem. Charming old buildings, well kept, clean. It's a real town, not just a tourist attraction, which gives it depth. Not so big, but we walked around it nearly every day for two weeks and always came across something new. We loved it.

Since we visited Trani on Christmas Eve, we did not encounter too many other tourists. We were able to park along the waterfront and our first views were of the Castello and the Cathedral. Unfortunately the Cathedral was closed due to renovations however we were able to get some great photos anyway. We then wandered around for a couple of hours through the charming centro storico and had a bit of lunch. Since it was such a beautiful day we were able to get several nice pictures of the pretty harbor.

If you want to visit the cathedral then you will have to walk through Centro Storico, so you will end up here. It's a charming little town, the one I would like to spend a whole holiday at.

The historical centre is not that vaste, even with the parc that you can visit. I had hoped to be able to spend some more time in this very white coloured town.

We stayed two nights in Trani before leaving for home after a holiday in Puglia. The old town was one of the better along the Asdriatic Sea.

You shouldn't miss Trani if you're in puglia. The buildings and the colour of the stone are just so pleasing

This is a real town with real people, but it has a charming harbor, great cathedral, and lots of local life. Nice break from tourists.

one of my favourite places in Puglia. it is a true town without feeling touristy. you can wander about the centre but down by the port with the cathedral and the fishing boats is wonderful. highly recommend for a place to visit which is slightly off the tourist track.
