This town was truly a pleasant discovery. A seaside village characterized by the presence of the typical white stone of Trani, a material visible on almost all the buildings in the historic centre, which contributes to giving this place a strong identity and a magical atmosphere. The historic center is made up of narrow streets that overlook various small squares, and then open up in the final part, towards the lively port, surrounded by a promenade arranged in a "sunburst", characterized by the presence of many restaurant activities.
The monumental beauties are innumerable, the cathedral is certainly worth mentioning, as is the Swabian castle, the municipal villa and the church of Ognissanti. The cleanliness and decorum of the places give even more prominence to this centre, which may not be well advertised but which is definitely worth a visit!!

We came here in a bit of a whim but were really glad we did because it’s beautiful. The beach isn’t all that to be honest but the old town and sea front walks more than made up for that
Really easy to get to in the train as well

Trani old town is a gem. Charming old buildings, well kept, clean. It's a real town, not just a tourist attraction, which gives it depth. Not so big, but we walked around it nearly every day for two weeks and always came across something new. We loved it.

Since we visited Trani on Christmas Eve, we did not encounter too many other tourists. We were able to park along the waterfront and our first views were of the Castello and the Cathedral. Unfortunately the Cathedral was closed due to renovations however we were able to get some great photos anyway. We then wandered around for a couple of hours through the charming centro storico and had a bit of lunch. Since it was such a beautiful day we were able to get several nice pictures of the pretty harbor.

If you want to visit the cathedral then you will have to walk through Centro Storico, so you will end up here. It's a charming little town, the one I would like to spend a whole holiday at.

Biketrip Trani, i am in shock about the waste everywhere on the beaches, the country and on the street.

It was a sunny day, Trani is beautiful. But i am sad.

The historical centre is not that vaste, even with the parc that you can visit. I had hoped to be able to spend some more time in this very white coloured town.

We stayed two nights in Trani before leaving for home after a holiday in Puglia. The old town was one of the better along the Asdriatic Sea.

You shouldn't miss Trani if you're in puglia. The buildings and the colour of the stone are just so pleasing
