Overview
More
The Castello di Bracciano - a stone's throw from Rome - is one of the most impressive castles in Italy, Europe and the world. Completed in 1485 by the Orsini family, around an existing 12th century Vico fortress, it is one of the few renaissance castles in Italy that - thanks to the Odescalchi family - is open to the public. It also plays host to numerous weddings, galas and important cultural events throughout the year.

Highly recommended if you're in Bracianno. We went during a quiet period and chose not to go with a tour guide. Loved exploring the castle and the views of Bracianno lake were great. We went in a small group of 8 and we were the...More

The Castle is well maintained and the tour is nice although only offered in Italian. You are able to get a spectacular view of the lake during the tour. The price is 7 euro a person.

The castle is a very interesting and the tour was good however too hurried. Rather than any time to look at the rooms after the guide gave some background, you were shepherded along at quite a fast pace. But generally worth doing.

If you book you can drink in the hystorical place. Then you can see, in these days, how many films taken around the fortress. So, you can plan yr wedding party.

We were not told that we had to go on a tour until after we had booked the tickets. It was not until the first stop on the tour that we were told, in English, that the commentary would be in Italian, despite the fact...More
