This is a piece of history. The structure is beautiful in design and the cooper roof is sweet. Much of Fort Payne's history is found inside this little gem and there is an old red caboose to tour.

This is a must stop if you are a History lover. The Train caboose was recently renovated by a local artist with scenes from all around Dekalb county with its History. Really beautiful! This is a must see if you are in the area

It was closed when we visited but the building is very pretty. It is very well maintained and kept. It is right next to a town park.

Small museum, but it is packed with the need to know history of the area, with relics, photos and artifacts. The rich history of Dekalb county, Alabama, crosses over with some of the most significant events in American History. Touring this museum will open your...More

As others have mentioned, the architecture of this building is gorgeous. The interior of the building is also beautiful. You won't spend a ton of time in it, but the collection of material is interesting; and I would imagine if you knew the families involved,...More

Awesome Photo Background! You will find this image in a lot of local business photos--especially real estate companies.

Don't waste your time going to visit actually not real knowledgeable you may actually find that you waste a lot of your time although we did enjoy the park next to it and enjoyed actually seeing the railroad

A wonderful example of excellent architecture and craftsmanship from the early railroad days. The detail and preservation of this building rivals anything I have seen in the United States.

This depot is one of the most beautiful I've visited. I love the artifacts and craft works that are exhibited. This is well worth the stop.

The most Beautiful Depot you'll ever see. I remember when I was young and the Depot stayed busy, loved watching the trains. The Stone Work is out of this world. You can feel the past surrounding you. It's a Gotta See
