The BEST selection of lamb, seal, reindeer, leather, fish leather (those are also really cool!) etc in all of Iceland! Athor was so pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about their products, which were so reasonable I was able to buy two furs for about the price...More

With everything else to see in Iceland, this was the one place I was really looking forward to visit - and I wasn't disappointed. We were able to have a tour that was given by Afore (pronounced Athore and I hope I spelled this correctly)...More

The prices are sky high, but the fish leather and the products made from it are unique. They also have beautiful and soft sheepskins.

Who would have known that fish skin could be tanned. Very interesting tour and great gift shop. It is a little stinky so be prepared.

I visited this tannery last week and absolutely loved it. Firstly, they go out of their way to let you know that it is a sustainable approach. What happens to the beautiful fish leather and wool and what-not after it leaves this place, it's not...More
