This place is tomato heaven! And it is warm and cosy. We were here for lunch and had a great time . The tomato soup is excellent we had it with cheese sticks and it tasted fantastic. You sit in the middle of the greenhouse and eat with the tomatoes 🍅 so nice. The desserts are innovative and fun all tomatoes and tastes good. I had the cheesecake with green tomatoes so yummy.

Dear Visitor, Thank you for sharing your kind thoughts. One of our delight is the tomato soup, that is on the buffet table alongside the freshly baked bread. We offer 4 different type of soup sticks. These are skewers with Chicken, Seafood, Cheese or Vegetable that you can add to your soup to make it richer. We are glad to hear you had a fantastic lunch. We always try to create innovative yet delicious and fun food experience for all of our guests, so it is great to hear that you were all able to enjoy our cheese cake with green tomatoes as well. Thank you for visiting us, and we hope to see you again one day! Greetings from Friðheimar!

Dear Visitor, Thank you for your review. We try our best to make the best experience for all our guests. That is why we always tell our guests a bit about our farm, what we do and how we are growing our tomatoes in cold Iceland at the table, before they have lunch. In doing that we are connecting the environment that the guest is sitting in, to the food that they are eating. So, we can say that Fridheimar is not only a restaurant, but also a food experience. We always focus on good and friendly service, so it is great to hear that you were pleased. Thank you for visiting us, and we hope to see you again in Fridheimar one day! Best regards, Friðheimar Team

Arrived at Fridheimar towards the end of their lunch service. There was still a 20 minute wait even late in the day. However, the delicious food more than made up for any inconvenience! I still dream about the amazing tomato soup. There are plenty of add ons to enhance your meal, but the soup and bread are absolutely the best part. As a gardener, I also thought the greenhouse was very interesting. Even with crowds of people, the spacing between the tomato vines means it is never too loud or crowded.

Good afternoon, Thank you for the sharing your kind thoughts. One of our delight is the tomato soup, that is on the buffet table alongside the freshly baked bread. The buffet is an all-you-can-eat lunch option but we have an a la carte menu as well. We are happy you enjoyed the amazing soup. Our restaurant is inside an open greenhouse, so our guests can sit among the plants, enjoying their lunch in a unique environment. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Iceland! Greetings from Friðheimar!

Dear Visitor, It is lovely to hear that you visited us again and you had a wonderful experience. We thrive to share our concept with our guests so they can learn how we grow tomatoes all year around, despite Iceland’s long, dark winters, under artificial lighting in greenhouses. They are welcome to enjoy a taste of the crop in our restaurant. We hope you had a amazing holiday in Iceland! Thank you for the nice words and visiting Friðheimar! We hope to see you again! Best regards, Friðheimar Team

Growing tomatoes in greenhouses. A very large facility, a very interesting undertaking. Everywhere are growing tomatoes. A greenhouse with tomatoes, where you can see, taste and buy tomatoes in 100 ways . The staff was so kind. They have a small snack bar which sells tomato beer, tomato ice cream, tomato soup. You can buy also have a meal at the restaurant in greenhouse . Super place if you like tomatoes of course.
