    Highly recommend!!
this was such an amazing experience, it actually inspired me to sign up for horseback writing in the states. A gorgeous drive through horse country. The stables are clean and lovely! We did a private ride through the meadows and loved every minute of it. The instructors are absolutely wonderful, so helpful, patient, fun, and put as at ease. Vilda was our instructor and we absolute loved her!!! The horses are so lovely! You even get to try out another gate other than walking. The views are stunning!! I highly, highly recommend them!

    Family experience on horseback
Our family of 3, of which our daughter, who is 11 years old, had 4 lovely days with you. You have beautiful and good horses that gave us a fantastic experience both in terms of riding and with regard to the spectacular nature that is in Iceland. In addition, all of you who work for you are very nice and talented people. The house we stayed in was newly renovated and very nice.

    Highly recommended experience
We did the stable visit and our children had a ride inside on the Icelandic horses. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the venue was very well kept. We were offered hot chocolate and coffee afterwards which was a nice touch. The kids loved the experience of brushing and riding the Icelandic horses. Highly recommend.

What's not to love about the gentle Icelandic Horses?
I've been riding since I was a kid and consider myself an experienced rider. But riding the Icelandic Horses was a completely different experience as they have the special "tölt" gait, which is achieved by the way the rider sits. The gait was gentle, yet faster than a trot. The amazing thing is that at the end of the ride, my knees, which usually ache after riding two hours, didn't hurt at all. Our guides were Emma and another young woman. Both were delightful. We rode for two hours (32 degrees farenheight). It was a very nice way to spend the morning.

The riding holiday package was spectacular. The farm is beautiful with views of volcanoes and glaciers, abundant bird life, and verdant fields. Katrín and everyone at the farm were welcoming, friendly, and so knowledgeable about the Icelandic horse. We stayed at the Villa, which was comfortable, convenient, and spacious for two of us. The riding tours were magical. The group was small—just four of us plus one or two guides. The horses were carefully chosen for our abilities, and they were such fun to ride. The scenery was pristine and beautiful. I hope I will be able to return some day!

Our children had a wonderful time at Icelandic HorseWorld. Our eldest daughter did the Mountains and Meadows tour and was very happy afterwards. She had a wonderful time riding in the beautiful nature surrounding the stable. The tour guide was very welcoming, when we arrived at the stable and friendly and helpful all the time. Our younger daughter did the stable combo, which was great. She learned a lot about Icelandic horses. It's a wonderful stable to visit and perfect to get to know Icelandic horses.

I booked onto the 2 hour country ride where riding experience was necessary. I rode with 4 America that were very inexperienced riders. We mostly walked for the 2 hours with a few short tolts. Give this place a miss if your a good rider. Tourist trap. To be fair the horses are nice and the guides did their best.

I have been horse riding in many parts of the world, but I have to say the quality of horses here (Icelandic purebred) and smoothness of the ride is by far the best I have experienced yet. What I also loved is that Icelandic HorseWorld is family run (I met the entire family). I didn't just go horse riding; I learnt a lot about horses especially my horse Hrafn (a real gentleman), how to brush them, place the saddle and bridle, the importance of the bit and how to steer your horse along the way amongst many other things. Katrín (one of the owners) met with me personally and took me around the farmland and the really cool bragging room. I even met her mother as she was training one of the horses at the stable. The lovely Mathilda was my guide throughout the horse riding experience and she made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. We also had a great chat as we soaked in the stunning surrounds. The entire experience was professional, personal and heartfelt - you can see the passion and respect they have for their horses. I highly recommend a horse riding experience here.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, wonderfull horses. We are two families. Some of us have ridden more than others. All started with a short introduction inside making sure all could control their horses. All were riding together and the less experienced were wonderfully looked after during the ride (four guides for a group of seven!) After the ride we were offered coffee and a tour around the stables. Group picture of us on horses was sent to our email. We will be back. Highly recommended!

First time for My 10 and 12 year old sons and they loved it. Having two guides with our party of four was excellent with two beginners.
Both wants to come back and ride more!
We couldn’t be better treated.
We will definitely come back!

My 17 year old daughter and I had a fantastic visit on the farm. We booked a studio apartment on the farm through Airbnb, then had the opportunity to ride the horses the following morning after our stay. (I would stay longer next time!) I have ridden horses occasionally throughout my life, but always with a little fear. Riding with Ilona, one of the stable women, was an absolute joy. In the short time that I spent on the horse I felt very comfortable and felt a particular bond with the animal. One of the most gentle breeds that I have experienced. It was amazing to feel the difference between "tolting", the gait most horses have lost between walking and trotting, and an actual trot. Such an incredibly smooth ride. I could tell instantly when the horse switched from tolting to trotting. Seeing the surrounding countryside and hearing the history of some of the volcanic eruptions in the area was fascinating. One of the highlights of our trip!
