Our family of five (three sons, 20, 20, 16) wanted to explore Iceland and the boys certainly hoped for fun adventure. We had an amazing trip and Southcoast Adventures really defined our trip as exciting, fun, and memorable. Sigga was a tremendous help in helping me plan our trip! We had informative guides that gave us great information about the land that we were exploring. Jon (his Icelandic name was super hard to pronounce, but he is their rock star) picked us up from the airport the first day at 7am, and we were off to see the Golden Circle. Jon was fun to spend the day with and authentically seemed to enjoy driving us to the amazing sites. It was Dec. 30 and definitely colder than the temperatures stated in Reykjavik. (There was a strong cold wind and it was cold! Definitely wear ski pants, ski shells, hats, mittens, etc.)
Stefan picked us up the next day and continued to be our guide for the next three days. Amazing! The boys especially loved Stefan who would sing and be his funny self while also driving the super jeep, bringing us dune buggying, and snowmobiling. The landscape was incredible even in January. The top of the glaciers where we snowmobiled through deep snow and had incredible views was a highlight.

Dear Ann Thank you so much for your your wonderful words towards us and thank you for giving you the time for sharing your experience with us here. Árni Þór is our rock star for sure :-) But Stefan is no less rock star, both very talented guitar players and singers... not just a excellent driver-guides... :-) I am agree with you about the highlights on the top of the glacier, the view is amazing. There is so much to do and see here in Iceland, also the summer time is incredible beautiful. Until next time... We look forward to meet you all again. Best regards from Sigga Fríða and all of our rock stars.

Wow …totally awesome experience.

We booked a 2 hour buggy tour and can honestly say this was an amazing adventure.

Definitely worth the 2 hour drive from Reykjavik…one of our party had done this type of activity twice before but he said this was by far the best he had experience.

We were greeted with a quick briefing along with a delicious hot chocolate drink (coffee also available). We were given waterproof suits, boots and gloves along with balaclavas and helmets. If you have waterproof shoes of your own you can where them if you prefer.

We were a family of six and we drove the two person buggies through some amazing scenery, splashing through streams to a cave and back. The younger members of the family said the cave was stunning inside but very dark in places but definitely relished the experience.

Our guide was Magnus (Maggie) he was so helpful, friendly and highly knowledgeable of the area. We would highly recommend him to everyone.

On returning to base we were again given hot drinks and chocolate biscuits. The base camp has two toilets, showers and changing areas, although more are going to be added soon apparently.

Although we were wearing waterproof clothing we were wet through to the skin afterwards so I do advise a total change of clothes for afterwards as we did still get a little wet, but I can honestly say that I wasn’t cold at all.

We had a fabulous day with Erla. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a full walking day in Landmannalaugar together with some great extra sights on the way in and out. The day was deliberately long, and well paced, and we felt we had an amazing full experience. The vehicle used was very comfortable and Erla’s knowledge, humour and skill made the day perfect.

We had three amazing days in the highlands with Southcoast Adventure. Guðný is an amazing guide, we always felt safe during the hikes and she's a great driver as well. The communication with Sigga is also very good, we changed our tours flexibly depending on the weather conditions. Thanks for three unforgettable days!

We had an amazing day with Southcoast Adventure and visited Landmannalaugar. Our guide (Siggy) was outstanding - he was even a geologist and could therefore tell us all the different things about the volcanoes and more. It‘s definitely worth it and we would recommend it for sure!

We did 2 trips with Southcoast Adventure - Katla Ice Cave and Wildcard Adventure.

Hokur and Villi were our guides & drivers during the Katla Ice Cave trip.
The trip was short but eventful and intense, the blizzard showed us how's the weather in the uninhabited part of Iceland. The guides drove us in 3 superjeeps from the village of Vik to the Katla Ice cave.
If you want to see the cave, you must go there in the next 2 years, because is shrinking and melting away. But it was a memorable trip, we made a lot of photos and videos.

Stefan was our guide & driver in the other trip - Wildcard Adventure.
He picked us up in a stormy day from Vik, while the roads were closed.
He showed us Landeyjasandur black beach, Seljalandsfoss, Eyafjallajokull (we went close to the top of the glacier with a superjeep) and Thorsmork Valley. After that, he dropped us off in Reykjavik.

We recommend future travellers this company and these tours.

I booked a 4 day trip with SCA Iceland. The organisation and care that they showed was just so amazing. They organised meals at great places, superb food, and ran itineraries with us before hand.
Having booked a 4 day tour we slept in a company owned isolated house placed perfectly on the South coast called Grund. It was comfortable and warm ( considering we were there in December.
A shout out to Ingvar, Stefan and Margrit who were all knowledgeable, amazing drivers in crazy weather and icy snowy roads and yet were so friendly and made each journey and adventure a joy.
They were punctual and were proud Icelanders, proud to show off their country, their history and personal stories.
A lovely small touch was that when we arrived in Grund, there was no food so another shout out to Lowa who came armed with 2 bags full of groceries.
A huge thank you for making the most of our 4 hours of daylight and bringing Iceland to life.

Southeast Adventure is one of the most special adventure companies to me and my husband in Iceland.

Earlier this month, we spent a lot of time with Southcoast Adventure; they provided transportation on our wedding day in Iceland, and the following week we had two tours with Southcoast: one to Landmannalaugar and a Buggy Tour into Þórsmörk.

On our wedding day, our driver, Þórður, went above and beyond to make our day so special and memorable! He taught us so much about Iceland while we spent the day traveling to different waterfalls, beaches, and forests for our wedding photos. He also brought us to spots that were personal to him and have become very special to us and our wedding memories. We left our wedding day with a new friend in Iceland.

On our tour to Landmannalaugar, we had the extra bonus of stopping at the base of Hekla which blew our minds! Our guide was so kind, knowledgeable, flexible, and kept us safe and informed along the 9 hour day. We were so excited to spend time hiking in Landmannalaugar as that had been on our bucket list and we had perfect weather to see somewhere absolutely breathtaking. We wouldn't have been able to visit Landmannalaugar without Southcoast Adventure and are so grateful for this day long excursion on our honeymoon.

Towards the end of our honeymoon, we also went on a 2.5 hour Buggy Tour with Southcoast Adventure that took us into Þórsmörk. This was hands down one of the best excursions my husband and I had ever done. We had a blast with our guide, Snorri, and we couldn't believe some of the landscape we were seeing as we drove. We cannot wait to come back and do another Buggy Tour with Southcoast Adventure!

Southcoast Adventure's staff is also incredible. We got to know Sigga Fridao on our wedding day and throughout our time in Iceland and we have left with an incredible friend in Sigga. Sigga made sure all of our adventures were perfect, fun, and educational. She took time out of her day to answer any questions we had about our adventures. And we were able to spend time sharing travel stories with Sigga at the end of our Buggy Tour.

My husband and I cannot recommend Southcoast Adventure enough. We look forward to many more trips to Iceland and many more adventures with Southcoast Adventure!

We took a private tour from Hotel Ranga out to Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. We rented a car but decided it was too far to drive on our own there and back in one day so we booked a tour with Southcoast.

Our driver, Stefan, was fantastic! It was a 10 hour journey (including a stop for lunch) so it was nice to have a guide that was a great conversationalist and very knowledgeable about Iceland. He answered all of our questions about Iceland and stopped at a few places we never would have found on our own.

We had a gorgeous day and the pictures we got on Diamond Beach were out of this world. Would highly recommend this company and this guide, especially if you're interested in a private tour.

Family of 4 did tours on consecutive days. Our private tours allowed us to customize the tours. The 1st tour was the Lave Cave and Golden Circle with Vidar. He was great and allowed us as much time as we wanted at each stop, yet kept us on a good schedule so we could see everything we needed to see. We really enjoyed listening to his stories of a life in Iceland.

The 2nd tour with Hawk took us to Black Sand beaches and Glacier Lagoon. Hawk was amazing! At the Lagoon, it was very icy with tourists falling right and left. He helped us down the hill to the beach and him falling didn't diminish his enthusiasm or ours. Choosing songs to play on his phone that were meaningful to all of us turned out to be great fun and provided a great end to a great day.

So,thanks to Southcoast for 2 amazing days. I highly recommend them
