Nice park to visit if you have an hour to spend. Nothing special though. Being free is a big plus. Large grounds but small areas of plantings. I would call this more of a park with gardens and not a botanical garden. Small greenhouse. Very...More

Beautiful landscaping, walking trails, plenty of areas for the dogs to walk, benches and shaded areas for sitting, flowers and clean bathrooms. Amazing houses to look at while you are walking.

If you want a break from the Lincoln history, this park is a grand find. It is a little tricky to navigate with its one way accesses, but it basically is a large loop. Great walking loop that covers the entire park. The botanical gardens...More

Washington Park Botanical Gardens has a plethora of different plant species. This is a well-kept, free-of-charge venue. Periodically, they have special events and sales of plants. It is also located near the carillon, and the Carillon Festival is another very enjoyable activity!

I really don't know the answer to that question. Perhaps going to the Abraham Lincoln Museum and Library site you could send them an email to ask. Sorry I couldn't help you.
