If you want a break from the Lincoln history, this park is a grand find. It is a little tricky to navigate with its one way accesses, but it basically is a large loop. Great walking loop that covers the entire park. The botanical gardens...More

This place has potential with its pleasant setting on a hill in Washington Park, next to the carillon. But the perennial gardens are uninspired and overrun with weeds, and the one small greenhouse lacks focus. I suspect they are low on funding and could use...More

My grandkids and I were riding bikes around the park as they live very near on Wiggins. We stopped and walked through the greenhouse with orchids. It was beautiful.

Although a relatively small botanical garden, it is beautiful and very serene. The flower beds and greenhouse were very appealing. Enjoyed the Carillon music.

This is always a relief in cold weather and the plants are always changing. Well worth the trip several times a winter.

Nice place to bring visitors that come to town and really the park is for all ages with a great playground. It has been maintained beautifully throughout the years and you may catch a wedding ceremony on your visit! No fees involved.

We loved strolling around the gardens, however, we didn't know the Botantical Building didn't open up until noon so we were disappointed. They were also setting up for a wedding out in the garden which is a perfect place for such a venue.

This Botanical garden had some very interesting species growing. We went on a lovely summer day, and spent a nice afternoon strolling around the place. It was quite enjoyable.

The classes offered are fantastic. I took the annual wreath making class, where you make a large and beautiful wreath with cuttings from the park. This is a beautiful spot in Springfield.

I really don't know the answer to that question. Perhaps going to the Abraham Lincoln Museum and Library site you could send them an email to ask. Sorry I couldn't help you.
