Beautiful Gardens

The Botanical Gardens here are not to be missed. The entrance fee of $10.00 for adults was very reasonable and the gardens were majestic.

My first time visit to Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha, NE. Nice fall day and the gardens were filled with blooming flowers among the hills and bluffs. There were also hundreds of Monarch Butterflies and Hummingbirds everywhere. There is joy around every bend and turn in the many paths. A tram takes one for an overview which is nice. I was... More

The gardens are lovely at any season, but the tram does not run year round, so check the website if you are not up for some walking. There is a huge glass-enclosed building that features special exhibitions, so there's something to see even if the weather is unfavorable. Cafeteria and gift shop are both first rate.

Took the family as a last second idea since it was a Monday and the other places we looked at were all closed. It's a lot bigger then you think. Numerous paths you can take to see things and the childrens garden had a lot of things for children to play with and experience. Overall, it was a fun experience... More

Beautiful and superbly maintained botanical gardens in the heart of a big city! I particularly enjoyed the Conservatory, and the Gift Shop was well-stocked with a great selection of books.

This is such a great place to visit. I always enjoy the Rose Garden and the smell of the roses is very strong. Make sure you have on good walking shoes as the grounds are very large to cover. The best part is the little area of the model trains. I always save that for last before I trek back... More

Stunning. If you love gardens and want to enjoy a day outdoors this is a must. Theme gardens spanning many acres. Nice trail if you are up to it on the bluff that has wonderful views across river valley. Nice gift shop, beautiful relaxing indoors. The collection of plants in the indoors conservatory are the water features make it a... More

If you love plants and flowers but can not walk the acres, ride the train. It stops so you can get off and look around. If you want to see roses, wait to visit until approx June 1st

The Lauritzen Gardens was beautiful. Highly suggest going early to avoid heat of the afternoon. I would suggest teens or "tweens" for this one beautiful displays and many times they bring in great artwork for display as well. The gift shop was fantastic. There is a small train set that runs overhead in one area that is fun for the... More
