Long Walk in the Back
May 2021 • Friends
The tram is a good idea. When you go walking out back and get to the end, you have to walk all the way back. We did not realize that. That's probably our fault. The Japanese Garden is not done as stated. The rest of the gardens are maintained well.

A Beautiful Conservatory
May 2021 • Couples
Worth the price! My husband and I spent a few hours strolling through the conservatory and outdoor gardens. Every way you turn is a beautiful view! Loved how the trail through the gardens is a loop. Definitely recommend!

Great Garden
Apr 2021 • Family
Try to come here before May 9th, as they have a really cool Folklore exhibit, as Folklore inspired by nature. They created art using plants and found objects to represent different folklore creatures and it was awesome. That being said, the year round gardens are great too. They have a great children's garden, tropics house, and we always love the bird garden. Reasonable price as well. We take 3-4 hours with 2 kids.

HORRIBLE - NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!
Mar 2021
WORST experience ever.

I have always loved visiting Lauritzen Gardens; however, the last couple times we have went they had this horrible rude and course agent at the front desk. Sadly, she was there yesterday as well, and she was beyond nasty. Not only did she give us a lecture about not carrying our membership cards but after being there less than a half an hour. We were having a friend taking some photos of us instead of us taking selfies because we wanted some good ones of us for our photo album. After this horrible woman looks at me and tells me that I am taking pregnancy photos (telling a woman that is infertile and tried to get pregnant for almost the last 10 years is beyond hurtful and embarrassing). She demanded that I give her $125 or delete the photos we had taken. Before bursting into tears from the way I was treated we deleted them and left.

To add insult to injury I emailed their office about the complaint and instead of replying to the unprofessional way I was treated they updated their website from this:

General Information
· Photography for private, non-commercial use is welcome.
· Tripods and dipods are never allowed in the gardens or in the visitor and education center. Monopods may be used on outdoor garden paths.

To this:
General Information
• Photography for private, non-commercial use is welcome. All portrait photography using the garden as a backdrop (couples, engagement, maternity, bridal, senior, family, etc.) requires a fee and an appointment (see below).
• Tripods and dipods are never allowed in the gardens or in the visitor and education center. Monopods may be used on outdoor garden paths.

So clearly going here you can be treated like DIRT and called names and the company is completely okay with it.

HORRIBLE - NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

incredible features
Feb 2021
This place has an incredible selection of various plants. Our time here was both very informative and relaxing. We will definitely return in a few months once everything turns green again. The Covid does hinder things here as it does everywhere. Despite the virus, we had an amazing time.

FANTASTICAL!!
Feb 2021 • Couples
The gardens are always a delight.
The winter exhibit, through May 9, is amazing..Fantastical Folklore. It is all indoors. Created entirely by garden staff and local artists. They bring to life global legends and lore with a description of each display. This is just a few of the extraordinary tails and creatures.
It is entirely covid safe!
You can also enjoy an outdoor walk if you want. However, other seasons are better for outdoor activities.

Holiday Decorations
Dec 2020 • Friends
Love to go in December. They decorate so nicely for the holidays- Poinsettia tree, a train that runs around plants, and so much more. Also a nice gift shop. I can always find a gift there.

Beautiful Gardens, but COVID reservations are a pain
Dec 2020
We have an annual membership to the gardens and we enjoy going at all times of the year. Unfortunately, during COVID they have put in place some cumbersome requirements to get tickets. When the pandemic started they had reservations, but you could call to reserve them and then show your membership card. Now you have to create an account online and reserve tickets online and sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. It's a shame because other locations in Omaha have made it much easier for members during this time. When you are traveling with two young children, this makes the trip much harder and it's easier to go to the zoo where you just walk in and show your membership card. Hopefully they will change this in the future.

Mum's the word!
Oct 2020 • Couples
The gardens. are a delight any season. However, in the fall you can enjoy the colorful leaves turning, the mums in their beauty, as well as the fragrance of the roses in bloom.
The gardens are 1 of the best bargains on the city. We get the plus 1. You can take any guest to enjoy the time in nature.
During COVID you must get a timed ticket, which we have always been able to get. Also..masks must be worn inside.
At Halloween they have many BOOtiful decorations for big and little 1s!!
Treat yourself!!
