We went for hubbies birthday after seeing ad on tv. Their Christmas poinsettia display with the interlaced train was the attraction that drew us in. We visted the rest of the facility and truly enjoyed our visit. We aren't botany types usually, but this place made it cool and interesting.

I was very impressed with the Lauritzen Gardens. However, due to the huge number of children and parents present for "Railroad Days," which I did not know about prior to my arrival, I didn't get to enjoy the gardens as much as I could have. Crowds were everywhere and lots of children without parental supervision. To say it was chaotic... More

First things first, be ready to walk, I mean walk long, up and down. You can take pictures until the battery drains in your mobile/Cam. Awesome Mini Trains. Good maintenance. A must visit if you are in Omaha. Take water with you though water is available at some points. Follow the map and you can enjoy the visit.

I absolutely loved the gardens! I was in Omaha for business and was lucky that it is open late on Monday evenings during the summer. I spent a few hours wondering through on a Monday evening. I had no idea before going how much is there and how much I would love it. Lots of variety, something for everyone. My... More

We had a wonderful time! It's a great place for meditation and taking in the gorgeous views. You can take a long walk and leave the outside world behind for awhile.

Families with children who love the outdoors and nature will love this beautiful garden that is very expansive. There is so much to see and it is spread out perfectly. Wonderful model train exhibit in the middle of the gardens as well. If you are in Omaha and want to see the beauty of nature, check it out!

I'm not a garden person but my wife loves seeing the gardens. I was thrilled to see the 2 Locomotives, The Big Boy and 6900. The largest Locomotives built ion the USA.

My mom is an avid gardener and when she was here visiting Omaha we took her to Lauritzen Gardens. It was so much more than I expected. They have a tram which runs through most of the outside gardens and even gives you an opportunity to get off and look around a few of the gardens. It also keeps you... More

Lots to see even though a very hot day. I suggest you may want to take the tram, it's worth the extra $3 because there are a lot of hills. They do stop and if you want to get off you can and then you can catch the next tram as it comes by. Save the glass dome for last,... More

We had only several hours to be in the place. 'Omaha Savings' app gave us $2 off the bundle of the entrance and the trum which was good, as it was a hot day to walk. When you enter, they have a huge indoor area which is great to walk through. If you take the trum then you get a... More
