Great staff, Friendly environment. Good place to play! Go there often. South Omaha made in the great depression.

It's an ok course. Most of the holes are pretty straight, so if you are good with a driver and can group together a decent 2nd shot you are in good shape here. The only hole that would require some type of fade/draw is the 4th hole, but unless you can really reach it out there, that isn't a concern there either. There are several areas where you are hitting toward other players, so be aware of those yelling FORE, because it may be coming at you. It's 9 holes and you can play with a cart for less than $20, so you can't complain too much.

The course is usually in average shape, but I have seen the greens be really bad on occasion. The greens are not consistent, some are fast some are slow, just depends on if they are on a hill or in a valley. There are some low lying areas that the bugs can be annoying if you are playing in the evening.

I would use a cart, sometimes I think about walking it, and I have seen people walk it, but then I think of the hills . There are a couple of decent hills that will wear you out if you aren't used to walking hilly courses.

There are plenty of opportunities to lose your ball if you tend to shank a few, although I have played several rounds here with the same ball and I'm not that great.

The staff is usually nice, but I would warn you that the food and drinks are often past their "best by" dates, so you aren't getting the finest here.

Don't take this course seriously. Go here to learn the game, take your kids and definitely USE A CART. I like it personally because you can score good if you can drive the ball. It's a nine hole course that has some interesting holes especially the 9th hole. I won't spoil it for you and by the way...bring plenty of golf balls and don't forget to order a 6-pack before you head to Hole #1.

Decent executive course

I golf in a league here, so I frequent the place. If I wasn't in the league I might not play it as its too far from my home to make it worth it. If you are close by its worth a stop. Plenty of driver opportunities for low to mid handicap golfers, plenty of birdie and par opportunities if you can group a couple decent shots together. Plan on riding unless you are in good shape as its very hilly.

Cheap
Not much at Spring Lake in terms of challenging, but you can always jump on and play if you are in a hurry. That's why I enjoy it.

Wonderful little historic 9 hole course deep in South Omaha
I grew up playing golf here, so I'm bias, but this is a fun course to play. Par is 33 with 3 par 3's and 6 par 4's. Yardage is about 1,900 yards, so it is pretty short, but the course is not boring. Pleny of hills, small greens, and grass bunkers.
